Its a shame really that Haye is from London, if he was from another city in the UK he would've got a lot more support and following, London is just so damn fractured, there's no sense of community and most of the people who live here are from other parts of the country anyway. Just look at the coverage the local radio and TV programs like the yorkshire and lancashire one's give to fighters from that area, Haye hardly gets a mention on local London media outlets.

Erm, he has been in the Metro sports pages pretty much every day for the last two weeks and has a daily fight diary in the Evening Standard, two free papers with massive circulation in London.

And where was that coverage for all his other fights? this is a one off. In places like Manchester, Sheffied etc fighters get publicity from the get go.
