Man they made it seems like this guy had no ground game at all but last night he won by submission and look pretty comfortable on his back. I was glad he won a fight for team rampage. I hope he beat the crap out of titties next:lol:

He was good. He needs to learn to punch down the pipe though, get his elbows in a little tighter and he should be good.
I see great potential in him to be honest. He didn't fuck around, he wasn't going through a set of techniques, he went for a kill Fedor style. That's always exciting.

I heard Kimbo telling him weeks ago man id love your ground game or something like that but I was thinking a guy that size,former NFL player this is another Bob Sapp. Hell no Marcus Jones has a legitmate ground game he took the back very smoothly and when he gave up the submission he moved his hips perfectly and put together a textbook armbar. I cant imagine he has been training to long so I expect him to improve he is 36 but a great athlete. Jones vs Schoonover is a tough matchup though for Jones, Schoonover himself has a strong game and from what ive seen is a better striker as Jones did not look comfertable on his feet.

I was really impressed with Big Baby's ground game.

Loved the way he pulled off that arm bar and did what he said he was going to do.

Yeah its ironic he said whoever wrote the sucks balls comment he was going to take their arm home although he didnt know it was Wessel. However he did apparently fuck up Wessel's arm it did look a bit deformed. Nothing like a guy who does exactly like he says he will.

It was pretty good. They started striking at first then jones was taken down. He got his opponents back and was going for the rear naked choke but then his opponent escape and got on top of him. I thought it would be over then by GNP but marcus surprise me when he got his opponent in an armbar.

Out of the entire season, Jones is the fighter I wanted to see fight going in. Mainly because of all the NFL athletes, Jones is THE NFL athlete on the show. I've also read that he began his mma training endeavors as a grappler.

I had no preconceived aspirations for Jones, but he was the one I was curious to watch. Well, I won't lie. Jones as well as Kimbo of course.

Looked horrible on his feet. A knockout waiting to happen. However, I was VERY impressed with his ground game. He hit that armbar much faster than I ever thought he would.

Definitely. Excellent arm bar from The Darkness. Very impressed with his ground game, looks solid. His overall attitude too learn and develop his skills is fantastic as well, tons of enthusiasm. Very hungry fighter. Impressed me the most so far.

I was very impressed and along with Brendan is the one to watch. Nelson is good but fat and I don't think he'll ever rank alongside Brock, Nog etc

Marcus holds those hands in open guard defence and you'd get he's good on his feet but I loved it when he sees an opportunity and goes for it.

He must have crazy strength as I don't think he even locked the arm bar.

man i think that was the highlight of the season so far for me,the fights suck ass and i found this entertaining.its to bad rampage and rashad are not fighting i was looking foward to driving 3 hours and watching rampage beat that ass live in the crowd......DAMN THAT A-TEAM MOVIE:-(

Exactly. Its not like he lucked into an armbar, or the other guy got caught, The Darkness took that arm right away from Weber.

Don't know why the fuck Weber went for the take down. Jones reversed it like it was nothing.

damnn i was impress again when he beat tities and knock him out. That was awesome. He was doing well against schaub but made a mistake of striking with him. I still like to see him in the ufc. Hopefully against cheick kongo in the future.

I was impressed by Marcus - not so much his technique as it's very very raw- but his overall attitude coupled with his incredible strength and willingness to learn will make him very dangerous for anyone.

yea he is still new to the game. He said he has only been training for 2 years. So he could still improved. He needs to work on his stand up. He already has a good ground game so he should be good once his striking improves. Work on it like josh koscheck or diego sanchez did.

Both used to be one dimensional but now both could strike. Jones already has the power so he just needs to improve his striking and he can be dangerous against anyone. I would love to see him against cheick kongo.

I think he lacks certain intangibles; fighting just might not be for him. Plenty of ability, more potential, but just the way he reacts in fights makes me think he wouldn't be able to push through in a tough spot.

It's like he views it as a hobby rather than a job or his passion; that makes it pretty easy to give up.

I thought his ground game sucked against Roy Nelson. He lost because he had absolutely no defense and didn't know how to tie up a fighter. He seems like a nice guy and everyone seemed pretty sad he lost, but that don't matter much, as this is professional fighting, only the results matter.
He didn't fight Roy Nelson, he fought Shaub (sp?) and when he went to his back he was on queer street, so don't judge his ground game by that

yea he is still new to the game. He said he has only been training for 2 years so give him time. If he develops he can be a force in the ufc. He has the size advantage and his ground game is decent. He needs to improve his striking cuz he's got power to hurt anybody.
