his next fight seems rather pointless. roel mangen 2 wins out of last 14 bouts. there must be more credible fighters for him.

Action Jackson just called him out after winning the IBO strap against a very capable fighter, It would make more sense than Mangan

How so?

Ruiz was competitive until the eighth, landing good shots and solid body blows but Asiku was focused enough to keep his eyes on the prize.

I believe the Military Figures of the United States of Americanopeners labelled Dibb 'a potentially dangerous threat to World bodies'. That alone speaks of Dibbs incredulous future. The Sydney Metropolitan diadem will be a task for Dibb.. all he deserves anyway.

I think if we're all realistic, we know that Billy's next fight is a good, stay busy fight for him, however a fight with Asiku in early 2010 would be a great fight.

Despite Asiku's performance in winning, if the right Billy shows, he beats him for me with speed in my opinion.

I hope the bout get's made.

Asiku needs Dib for any sort of money. Asiku would of been paid a pittance to fight for the IBO title, hence why do you think Asiku keeps calling Dib out.

In my opinion Dib takes Asiku, simply on speed and natural ability. Asiku's tough, but one-dimensional.

Big Fish
11-18-2009, 12:56 AM
Dib doesn't know how to handle pressure, hence the biting, late hits, rabbit punches etc. Asiku would pressure him all night, either into doing some stupid enough to get DQ'd or so flustered that he loses his way and loses the fight.

I respect your opinion, hence mine opinion stands that I think Billy beats him. Jackson is strong, but again, in my opinion he's one-dimensional.

If Billy H. get's Billy D. focused with the right game plan, Asiku won't see which way Billy goes, way too quick for him.

Either way, it's a fight that just has to happen for all concerned, the fighters and the Australian boxing fans.

He was out-pressured by Luevano that's for sure.

Action Jackson TKO in an all action affair i reckon

i believe he figured he just had to turn up to win. after all the hype he was surrounded in, i think his head had grown too big.

I don't know about out-pressured by Luevano, it's fair to say it was a poor performance and Billy simply didn't take the fight up to him and do anything constructive and sustained, hence Luevano as champion didn't really have to do anything bar pick and choose his moments to win the rounds.

Yes Jackson puts pressure on Billy bigtime and more than has the ability to beat him. Billy will need to fight a better level of fight than he did against Davey Browne earlier this year when he was very impressive. If though as per my previous posts, the right Billy turns up, well then I feel Billy can beat him for speed. If he doesn't and it's the Billy that fought Luevano, Jackson will take him to the house of pain.

All in all, a good fight that has to happen in my opinion.

Hence my point Ranser about Luevano being able to sit there and pick and choose his moments in order to win the rounds.

If the fight's not taken up to him as champion, he can really set the tone by waiting. In saying that, makes for a dull fight which to be frank it was.

Sometimes it baffles me as to why all the hate on Dib :huh

I don't know him but from what I have seen he has some good characteristics.....like the time he jumped into the ring to cover Kicket when he got KTFO by Elomar and Elomars team was jumping all over the ring.

Dib has some solid skills and needs to work a bit harder in the exchanges and on the outside showing urgency in work rate to get the points.

I know he's no world beater but will do well on the local level and top 15 world wide

Certainly no hate here Ash. I know Billy very well and he has some great points. At 24 he's acheived, but could acheive a great deal more and in discussions I've had with him, he's admitted though that it's time to take his career to where some of that potential should go and not side-tracked with stupid little thingss at times.

As my previous post say's, taking a Davey Browne type level of fight, or more so, even higher should in my opinion be enough to take Asiku. Anything less and Jackson can hurt him. Jackson will try to menance him and intimidate, looking for cracks in Billy's psyche.

Your urgency in work rate comment is spot on and I know has been discussed in his team previously. Look at all the great fighters and they have the one thing in common - high work rate, high punch output and the ability to keep it going throughout the rounds. If Billy could harness that, it would allow him to easily go to the next level as a fighter. His hand-eye and movement is already top class.

His behaviour in helping the stricken Kickett, as was also Billy Hussein was a-grade and I don't think enough people acknolwedged that.

A great fight between Dib/Asiku to watch if get's made.

Yes this would be a great fight.....I would tip Asiku to win this fight....Billy would need to be at the top of his game to win this one.

I think Asiku will out work Billy and could stop him with volume punching.
