I think Kotelnik would bust him up. Kotelnik is due a shot because of his controversial loss to M'Baye. But maybe that shot will come next year.

Yeah...that should have AT LEAST been called a draw!

The last Kotelnik v M'Baye fight was a draw , the first a SD for M'Baye . Both were controversial but it's the second fight which has Kotelnik as mandatory .

thats what i thought mbaye would do.
if rees can put in the same kind of workrate he showed against mbaye that will be enough to get the crowd and the judges on his side. if the fights held in wales kotelnik will really have to dominate or knock rees out to get the win.

The ONLY fight I want to see Rees in is against Witter. That fight makes great sense to both fighters careers.

In the first the decision was very "strange". Kotelnik did nothing and I don't understand how one judge managed to obtain the decision for him. M'Baye had clearly won this boring fight. In the second Kotelnik did better, he should have obtained the decision and...a draw. Kotelnik also did good against Witter. He is too much for Rees and I think he will decision him. Kotelnik has been patient, he has waited for this belt and he will be far more focused than M'Baye. He won't lose against a guy who is not in his league.
However you rate Rees I think he must be an awkward opponent on the basis that he is so short and squat - no disrespect intended with that description.
Is it always more difficult to fight a much shorter fighter or does it depend on their style? M'baye for instance was a much taller and leaner fighter and seemed to have difficulty with Rees from round 1.

Spoke to Gavin the night before last.................He said that Kotelnik is his next opponent on Dec. 8th.............Again he'll be the underdog but after previous problems in the past I really think he is now totally focused...........It will be a good match up......Good luck Gavin....
