Why is no-one pulling up the shoddy journalism when they keep saying that Haye is the first British Heavyweight World Champion since Lennox?
Have the fuckers forgotten about WBF Heavyweight Champion of the World, Audley Harrison? :-(

Even more disgusting is some media outlets referring to Akinwande and Hide as former heavyweight champs.

I was watching Hide vs Bowe the other night by the way... I forgot how dodgy that all looks to me :huh

^ Nothing wrong with the fight, but the words "heavyweight championship" should have been nowhere near it.

I think Hide goes down to easily for my liking but I'm normally a cynical git! :D
BTW, my copy is the HBO coverage and they refuse to acknowledge it as a World Title fight and remind viewers, constantly, of this opinion!

It's a delayed reaction from the previous shot. Watch it again.

Maybe I need to watch it again. I'm pretty sure you can tell on slo-mo replay.

Still can't see it mate, both shots he takes on the ropes don't look particularly damaging, and neither does the one for the first KD in the round, Bowe hit him on the back of the shoulder and Hide collapsed in a heap :huh

I've just started watching it, I don't know what is more surreal, the fact that the MGM appears to be almost empty or the fact that Hide is coming in to a Chesney Hawkes song. :huh

Anyone ele remember when Zuri Lawrence came out at the MGM, against Calvin Brock, and in the tunnel you could see that he thought it was the best moment of his career until he came into the arena and there was honestly about 50 people in there! :rofl You should have seen his face!

Didn't the same shit happen against Vitali? The punch that Vitali finished Hide off with was a grazing punch across the top of the if I remember rightly.
I also remember one of Hide's more recent cruiserweight opponents going down more than once from punches that completetly missed. The guy was TKO'd in the first without a punch landing.

Yeah I got mixed up. He goes down against Bowe out of either exhaustion or he'd just had enough. Can't blame him really, he was getting hammered. Richard Steele ignores the towel from Hide's corner.
It's the first knock down against Klitschko I was thinking about. The first punch does the real damage, the second barely connects.
