Something Tells me Jermaine is gonna go toe to toe, Steward wants him to box but we have seen Taylor ignore Steward also i think Taylor is rankled by the fact so many are questioning his heart and his fighting style. Before watching the countdown it was to me a pickem fight 50-50 now i think Kelly is gonna win i couldnt believe how strong he is with the 600 pound tyres and how much of badass he is when before his sparring session he says i never go in to dance im there to fight all the time.

It will make for a better fight if Taylor goes toe to toe, but for his sake, he would be best advised to keep this in the center of the ring, use his jab, and move. Because if he slugs, I can't see the night going well for him.

I agree. IMO, Taylor's best chance is to pull a PBF and stick and move, hit and not get hit, potshot. Or as I'm afraid, Manny will have him in that very hard to deal with "jab and grab" style he has Wlad doing now (which esp. for Wlad, is next to unbeatable), only worry that that would make potential fight of the year a big stinker.

Does Taylor have the discipline to employ that strategy over 12 rounds? I think his toughness and willingness to fight will show itself eventually.

That is the question, and let me say I like JT and feel he def. won his fights against Hops, but IMO no he can't. Pavlik KO 7.

Depending on the way Taylor fights Pavlik will decide the outcome, I think if Taylor fights Pavlik the way he fought B-hop the first time I feel he will come out with UD victory. If he tries to fight the way the fans want him to fight he might get knocked out, with Manny calling the shots I dont see Taylor losing.

For Taylors sake he better not go toe to toe or he will get beaten up. He will get his shots off if he does but Pavlik is tough and can take his shots imo. I agree that Taylor only wins if he uses his speed and athleticism to stick and go. I don't see how some people on here think Taylor is stronger. Get the looks out of your head people, Pavlik is much stronger than he looks

Toe to toe?.....hmm........:huh I bet at times he will because he is going to need to keep Pavlik off of him then try to go back to boxing.
I am going with a Pavlik victory by ko and give Taylor some credit by having him make it past the 10th.
Pavlik KO11.

JT would be dumb to go toe-to-toe, i.e. early on. He'd be best served to use his speed and jab early on to frustrate Kelly P; and if he effectively discourages and paints Kelly P enough, he can then go toe-to-toe late. That is VERY risky, but may work if he puts enough damage on Kelly early on. My thoughts...he applies the aforementioned strategy and wins by late stoppage. I just have a gut feeling that Kelly's style will make him look much better than he has looked recently. That being said, I think even if JT wins impressively, it may still mask some of his major technical flaws (which will eventually be exposed by a strong, boxer-puncher type shortly thereafter...I'm thinking the winner of Kessler or Calzaghe).

if taylor jabs and grabs his way to a win, i don't think he'll be able to go back to arkansas. taylor will need to show some balls in this fight. im not saying he will stand toe to toe for the entire fight, but he will need to exchange some power punches.
Nah, at the end of the day what's important is to get the W. If Taylor feels he has to fight "ugly" in order to win, then he'll do that. Only time will tell if he can go toe to toe with Pavlik and come out victorious.

Taylor will be Taylor, and that means that he will go toe to toe.

If he goes toe to toe, the better fight might be in corner between him and Manny. I say Manny KO- rd 4.

If he does not go toe 2 toe, and stick and move, hit not be hit, will he be called a runner?? **cough, cough, Mayweather?**

I could see that happening and that would be taylors demise but if he boxes or hugs and runs he could possibly get a decision but I say Pavlik between 7-10
