Who else is looking forward to this shit as much as me?
Golovkin faces perhaps his biggest test as a Pro going up against Ishe Smith.
Erdie steps up to CW against Fragomeni
Chakhiev has another fight, i'v seen Solomon listed as his opponent (19-20) & Solomko 10-20 listed on bexrec. Anyone know which guy he's actually fighting? In any event facing a 30 or 40 fight pro in his second pro fight is good stuff.
Matvey Korobov will fight on the Pac-Cotto undercard and Arum has said that it'll be shown for free prior to the $PPV starting.
Matvey, after having fought 3 fights in about a month and a half, took 5 months off. I'm hoping that he's been working hard and will look as sharp as ever.
Boxrec lists his opponent as 10-2 James Winchester.
Does anyone know for sure what Matvey's trainer situation is? He was with Birmingham but i'v heard he's now with Robert Garcia and i also heard someone say that his Father is now training him??

One more thing, sorry.
Ishe Smith just fought Daniel Jacobs in his last fight so it'll be a very good gauge of how Golovkin & Jacobs are at this point in their career in respect to eachother.
I'll probably re-watch that Jacobs fight again so i can compare his performace against what Golovkin does today.

He's trained by Kenny Adams now. He was going to be trained by Robert Garcia but couldn't reach an agreement on where he would train.

Any opinions on whether or not you think it's a good fit for Matvey?

Yeah, seems he got over the shoulder injury but I think he needs t oslim down to 245 or so.His speed is an important asset.
I hope I can get the fight.

Very interesting main fight,Tajbert vs Gutierrez did fall short of my high expectations, and Sartison didnt have such a tough time as I had thought before.
Golovkin is on the roll-the sky is the limit!:yep
Erdei should either take early retirement or move down to light heavy as he fights above his weight. He has proved his class and has made a telling statement. If he lacks the necessary motivation to continue fighting lesser known names he should seriously consider early retirement. He is no big draw, and his promoter surely wont spend big bucks again for further big fights.
Tajbert beat his Mexican opponent to the punch.Stamina,a good strategy, and speed were the decisive factors in yesterday's fight.
A good fight it was,but no outstandingly entertaining one as were Gutierrez's and Tajbert's previous fights with Gulyakevich.
Would love to watch either Tajbert or Gutierrez rematch Gulyakevich!
Tajbert has a very flashy and entertaining style, but takes too many risks and will find his match very soon again.
Gulyakevich has shown the blueprint how to beat him.
Sartision didnt have as tough a time with Bozic as I had thought before. The German-Russian is pretty small for a supermiddle weight, but he has constantly improved over the last 12 months.
I am looking forward to his next fight!
Korobov showed a workmanlike performance against a teak tough opponent named Winchester.
Good chin he had ,this winchester:D He had to take quite a handful of very telling shots, but didnt go down.
Korobov won every single round of their encounter.Winchester was the right opponent at this stage of Korobov's career.Good matchmaking!:good

What happened to Golovkin facing that Ishi Smith guy? How did that effect the mandatory status the winner of said bout was supposed to receive?
On a side note: I like Chakhiev but someone should tell him it is not illegal to work behing a Jab.
I see Golovkin won by KO. How did that happen? Anybody see this...?

Chakhiev is in there to fight. He'll learn how to jab later. For now, he's pressing for the KO.

When/if Chucky:hey starts working behind a jab his power shots will be even more devastating. The sooner the better for him.
