Yeah, i didnt like that scorecard at all.

Its just the same old same old, aussies fight imports for 10-30 fights and step up to a decent American and get whooped. Not saying that would happen to geale, but id back Yuri to be able to outbox him.

u could say that about most of the contenders tbh.

many of them get there rather cheaply but they still deserve a crack i suppose.

We know Dawson can take a punch and despite the Santos fight we know Yuri isn't heavy handed. This means Dawson would be happy to walk through Yuri to land punches of his own. Even an uninterested Santos had his moments. If Dan keeps the presure on there is no reson he couldn't have success against Yuri.

exactly what i was thinking.

people just assume that because alot of our aussie fighters haven't fought the top calibre opponents yet that they simply can't compete with the mexicans etc. but there are plenty of examples where the aussies have been well and truely up to the challenge regardless of their limited experience, of course most recently katsidis, who was a bees dick from beating casamayor.

and yes there are plenty that were whipped too aka shannon taylor thanks to shane mosely, and glen kelly thanks to roy jones jnr.

i would like to see dawson - foreman to help gauge where geale might rank amongst the bunch.

fair call buster. You also have to remember that Dawson has a lot more experience in the square circle than just his boxing career...

I think Yuri vs Dawson would be a total mismatch. Dawson is slow and flat footed.

Does Dawson have a WBA ranking?
