Benny Leonard at 135
Julio Cesar Chavez at 140
Roberto Duran at 147 and 135
Shane Mosley at 135
Alexis Arguello at 130
Henry Armstrong at 126 and 135
Pernell Whitaker at 135 and 147
Aaron Pryor at 140

How does Manny do in match-ups against this list of ATG's? 15 rounds a piece, 24 foot ring?

I feel confident he would beat Arguello but that's allowing for his more recent form, which may not be fair in a 130 match up. These are big asks though, I don't think you can legitimately pick him against many of these fighters.

Benny Leonard at 135 - haven´t seen enough of Benny to judge him h2h

Julio Cesar Chavez at 140 - tough one but I think Chavez could take everything Pac has to offer and still bringing on the heat. Chavez would grind him down late in the fight. That would be a great fight.

Roberto Duran at 147 and 135 - Roberto just does about everything better than Pac and is more proven at those weights. It would be more competative at ww I think.

Shane Mosley at 135 - Mosley was a beat at lw but he wasn´t really proven. Tough one. I think Mosley is tough enough, has the speed, power and workrate to beat him. 50/50 I suppose.

Alexis Arguello at 130 - After Saturday I´m pretty sure Pac can take Alexis´ punches. He outworks him to a clear UD with Pac´s speed making the difference.

Henry Armstrong at 126 and 135 - I have no doubt Armstrong beats him, he may get knocked down early on but a prime Armstrong (his best fighting weight was lw) murders Pac within 10 rounds. At FW Pac was too one dimensional to be a menace for Hank.

Pernell Whitaker at 135 and 147 - Well, at lw Whitaker had a higher workrate and faster, better feet. He would do a number on Pac there, totally embarassing him. Pac is too basic, too easy to figure out. At 147 it is a bit different. Sweet Pea wasn´t as good at ww as he was at lw, his feet weren´t as good there and he looked small. Pac on the other hand looks bettet at 145 than he did at 135. More complete and bigger. I still pick Whitaker but it would be closer.

Say Pac takes on Arguello at 140?

I appreciate your breakdowns of the match-ups and have similar views on how they would play out. Though quite often the exact opposite view as well. Less often at the same time.

What about Pryor v Pac?

Mosley at 135 and then to a lesser extent Chavez at 140 are his best bets for wins i'd say.

pac overwhelms duran (stance+speed+power) early and either stops him or repeats the marquez or cotto feat with him.
with chavez i still tend to pac.
with mosley i don't know. but cotto outpointed him and pac is faster , so at 135 i favor pac but this is really close.
pac stops arguello but in a hard fight.
simply cause he stopped delahoya , hatton and cotto at higher weights.
with armstrong it will be hard and close but i favor pac.
with whitaker it is interesting and close but pac by a small margin again.
pac stops pryor.

Is it worth me asking why you think this?

Is 'banned' a code word for 'lobotomised'?
