The negotiations for a Trinidad Mayweather fight initiated the past weekend. The fight will possibly happens in January 2008. Trinidad will be at 160 while Mayweather said he wiill be at the weight he wanted (possibly 150). What do you think of this fight, considering the true difference in Size (not the small difference in the De la Hoya-Mayweather fight) and that Mayweather is not throwings combinations since being a 147 and fights with his arms too lows.

A prime Tito, with the actual 147 Mayweather will KO him (a look alike fight of the Trinidad-Reid). But actually, making two fights in the last 5 years, I'm not sure of the Tito's condition so maybe Mayweather wins another booooriiiing UD.

Oh, I hope this isn't true. Mayweather is going to pull a Roy Jones now? Get a few impressive wins, and then go on a bum of the month tour.Except for Floyd it is going to be an oldies tour.No talk of fights against Mosley or Margarito, just a badly faded, inactive Tito. This kind of bullshit makes me hate Roy, and if Floyd does it too, I will lose respect for him, even though he has some brilliant performances.

Just more rumours. I think Trinidad-DLH II is a more probable fight.

This can be an intresting fight as long as Don King doesn't try and fix it or something. If that were to be the case, Trinidad should just stay retired. As for Don King, he can't afford to fix anything because he has no big fighters and doesn't promote no big events. Just let Trinidad do his thing against Mayweather.

Saddler Vs Pep anyone?

Not a good fight for Floyd.

He should fight Cotto, I think. His fighting style is better to watch (for the casual fan, anyway) at the lower weights, not when his opponents outweigh him by 20lbs and would drop him if they landed clean.

Im listening to Salsoul via the net and they are interviewing Papa Trinidad right now!!!! As far as the PBF fight he just said that he doesnt see it happening because PBF not been able to make 160lbs where Tito would be fighting if he comes back. Now he did said that a fight with RJJ would make more sense and it was discussed in their meeting saturday. Papa Trinidad also said that a fight with the winner of Hops vs Winky is another option. Oscar is out of the question.....As much as I love Tito Im NOT all that excited about him coming back...:smoke

Why does he deserve another shot at either of these fighters. His Losses to them were not even close!

And as far as Oscar being out of the question, I think he should give Oscar the chance to even trhe ledger, as his win over DLH was very close!

So Trinidad will come from retirement to fight both Mayweather and DLH?

Yea is in all the puertorican newspaper, i think the return of trinidad is iminent posible foes Floyd, Roy jones, Jermain Taylor or winky hopkins winner. I don't like this i want it to stay retired, he will lose to all of them maybe ko Roy but not a chance agains the others.

Tito can beat Roy, Mayweather, and Taylor. Roy is burned out, Mayweather is too small, and Taylor is too green. He can probably beat Hopkins now because Hopkins is getting up there and has slowed downed some. If he couldn't get past Winky's jab, then the chances are he won't get past it now.

Tito better forget about that gay haircut from his last fight and hit the gym, he'll need it.

:patsch Hopkins, Roy, and Floyd all beat Tito.

Mayweather wants a big money fight against a past-his prime great fighter.

Fuckin FLOYD:lol:

Who gives a shit about this matchup really?? Trinidad is way past RETIRED and the ONLY possible interest would be between him and DLH given their history and status.

This is a JOKE. Not sure how many would buy, but the numbers will be PATHETIC!!! This fight has no relevance and is completely disinterseting.

For the casual fan it's a big name, and they would buy this fight before they bought a floyd/margo fight or even a cotto fight.

I highly doubt they would get pathetic numbers. And as much as we'd hate to admit it, even someboxing fans here would buy it just out of curiosity to see if just "maybe" they're not getting a pathetic fight.

Fading and inactive DLH, long retired Tito, what will be the encore? Sugar Ray Leonard and Roberto Duran?
