No, he wont beat Dawson. I think Dawson has too much for Tarver at this point. Tarver can be hit and can be gunshy sometimes. Dawson will take advantage of that.

Assuming he even fights Dawson, I don't think he'll beat him. If Tarver wants to rejuvenate his career he would fight Dawson, but if not he'll just end up fading back into obscurity.

I saw the Tarvers last fight and he actually looked better than I thought he would, his defense is a little shaky at times , but he still has great counterattack. I dont think he will Boxes Chad yet thoug.

I thought Tarver looked awful, just a continuation of the Hopkins fight, but against a vastly inferior opponent. Dawson would outwork him and tag him with combinations all night long. I'll be surprised if this fight happens. I can see Tarver vs. Lacy at the end of the year, though.
