It's not that I'm a hater..
I do talk a lot of shit about Mike but I realise that He was truely a fantastic boxer..but...BUT..

It's just that His fans are so delusional about this guy , it's unfucking real...
and the guy who created this video should've also added the scenes where tyson was getting outboxed by Botha...or when Tyson was incapable to KO the likes of Green , Tillis & smith in his prime.

And guys do like to infer that he "breezed through the division" and "destroyed the competition". I agree that you shouldn't hold failure to KO over a fighter like a loss. But if these guys can survive agains Tyson, so can others, and there are some great boxers who can dish it out - in a bad way - whilst surviving.

Hollyfield, case in point.

I think there are MANY other guys in the history of the division who would beat Tyson peak for peak. I don't hate Tyson, at all, I loved him, I grew up with him. But he is a certain type of fighter he has very little in the way of alternative plans - and so other types of fighter start out with an automatic advantage.

The great examples of these alternate stlye would beat Tyson.

everybody's gotta post a thread about how tyson nuthuggers are unrealistic about him as if it's their obligation to correct all the horrible misperceptions about tyson. Anyone who was around saw him in his prime can decide for himself. If part of your argument is that he couldn't ko tillis, green, and smith that's pretty weak. A) despite what you've heard none of those guys were "bums" (although tillis dropped his share of fights and was inconsistent to say the least). B) Tyson beat them all convincingly (tillis made it fairly close).

He had 'buzzed' through the division with only a couple even closer fights before buster (that's why he was a 40:1 favorite).

Tyson beat himself: only douglas and holy deserve much credit for beating tyson b/c they each beat a real tough hw (if not the best tyson). other than that, lewis' and mcbride's wins mean little, and williams win is a joke.

yeah bring up tyson - botha: tyson looks lackluster off the layoff to say the least and botha's on the top of his game and it all means fuck all when tyson vaporizes botha with one perfect shot that how many hw's can deliver?

tyson was what he was. he looked almost unbeatable for 4 years with all the right pieces around him and not the best comp (but not the worst comp ever either). tyson let himself slip dramatically and never got it totally back for various reasons although he had some success even into his mid 30's
