Not at all a thread about who would win at Heavy, I think Adamek is too hittable.

Over on a certain scene, there's excertps from Haye saying that Adamek has impressed him and could be on his way to the top of the division if he keeps moving along nicely.

He says that none of Adameks fights have been shown over here and that it would be important for the British public to know who he is, to sell the fight (that's what I'm getting from it anyway)

Does everyone not think that with the large Polish/Eastern European contingency over here, and the fact Sky can pump Adamek up as 'going for his World title in 3 weights, exciting banger, iron chin etc etc' that this could do MASSIVE business over here, a live gate at Wembley stadium with big PPV sales???

Or is it just me?:think

Who would be a good opponent for Adamek to beat (be it beatable but highly ranked or a tough match that would gain him Heavyweight recognition) I would say Solis (fat, fast and powerful but out of shape) or maybe even Holyfield (winnable for Adamek)

Basically, I don't feel Adamek is big enough, or elusive enough to make much of a mark at Heavy. But this would be anotehr decent fight for Haye to build for a clash with a Klitschko, and would surely whet the appetite of boxing fans everywhere. It is guaranteed excitement.:deal:good

This would be a decent fight for Haye if Adamek can prove himself in the division.

It's something I've thought about as well, Flea. Personally, I think the fight would make huge sense in Vegas or early in the morning at a British or Polish stadium. America has a lot of citizens with Polish roots and they know the Brits will travel over and HBO could market the fight very well; if the fight is in Europe, I have no doubts that it would sell a stadium out as well. If Haye makes a few defences rather than just jumping straight in with a Klit, he could hype and make a Klit fight absoluetly huge! I'd like the fight to happen.

EDIT: Put Adamek in with Chagaev or Maskaev first and then see if a Haye fight makes sense:good.

I honestly think it would sell out the new Wembley.

Perfect opponent, but would sadly lead Adamek into a mandatory with Vitali, which would negate the point of the thread:lol::good I think Chagaev would probably beat Adamek, unless Adamek goes all Carl Davis Drummond on his ass:rofl

I think if Haye wants to make an impression in the States, on HBO, this would be the fight - in New York or Vegas.

No doubt about that. Might be a lot of trouble, though. I edited my post above and just said that if Adamek can beat someone like Chagaev or Maskaev, the Haye fight becomes a viable possibility, IMO, as they are both decent names and good HW yardsticks and can also be marketed to the German TV companies.

Yeah I replied to that bit :good I think Holyfield is the best choice from a business standpoint it would probably be a great place for Adamek to get ranked by the WBA. From a fans perspective, I have such an effection for Evander I'd hate to see him fight again.

Jut noticed. Confusion all around:nut!

Holyfield would make sense as well, but I wouldn't be too fussed with the WBA's rankings as Haye can pick and choose who's next if and when he beats Ruiz so long as they don't opt for either Klit's set of titles. In short, Adamek has options to hype a Haye fight and knows himself that if he gets through Haye, a Klit fight would mean even more. Haye has other options other than the Klits as well. Haye can't keep letting the brothers think that they are his only two options- now Haye has a belt and sizeable bargaining power and, if he gets HBO onboard for a fight with Adamek, then, arguably, he then has more bargaining power than either Klit; all they will have is extra shiny belts and German income in comparison.

Adamek is the next logical move for Haye, IMO, assuming that he starches Ruiz like we all expect him too. I say build a fight with either Klit and humble them during negotiations next time around:lol:.
