After watching his bout this morning it doesnt fill me with much confidence for his world title bid. heres just some of the things that annoyed me or Munroe needs to work on.

His corner was awful just telling him to work harder was the worst advice possible, Munroes corners advice was forcing the guy to get hit even more.

Stylistically Munroe was being told to fight to his weaknesses and not his strengths.

Munroe needs to learn to thud some puches home and not pitter pat

He needs to learn to step out of range after a combo

he needs to learn to not let his heart rule his head

he needs to use his jab a lot more than he does

lastly he needs to use his brilliant athleticism ie head movement, upper body movement and his use of timing and counter punching.

im very concerned about his welfare if he continues with his trainer for his world title fight:good

Totally Agree.

He's an arm puncher at the moment. He can't keep range to save his life...never pivots or thrusts with his punches...and his work on the inside is just work...nothing else about it. He was fighting a fringe world class fighter in Maludrottu and he didn't look at ease at all...he must improve or else it will be a harsh reality check come world title time.

I can't argue with any of that to be honest.

The frustrating thing is that Munroe could really be a very accomplished fighter. He has all the physical attributes, such as his size at the weight, stamina, work rate etc that with a good trainer he could improve 50% on what he's already got.

He'll fall short at world level if he continues to fight like that - i.e charging forward with no gameplan with a corner telling him to do that even more.

now hes facing Dunne he really needs to change trainer otherwise i see a loss, is it me or would rendall be better off fighting off the the backfoot while reguly popping out the jab and using his superior movement to oumanoeuvre opponents, helping him too set up better counter punching opportunities, its obvious watching munroes fights that he doesnt lead very well and probably needs to adapt his style to something similar to the above.

feedback please:smoke

Couldn't agree more. It was dire listening to his corner.

Maybe a trainer who could tell him to throw straight punches.

Trouble is, can't see him leaving Leicester and his trainers are already a trip away from him in Derbyshire I think.

Maybe if Maloney can persuade him (financially) to take a break from the bins he could have an intensive camp elsewhere in run up to next fight.

I agree with you fellas. His corner is very very poor. Did you see him doing padwork before the fight?? Fucking crap work.
He was poor on Friday, if he fought somebody better he would have been out of there. All the bullshit armpunching and just marching foward. What was his close work about?? Those bullshit little uppercut arm punches are emabarrassing. I'm a big Munroe fan, i respect the man but he really needs to step up his game otherwise he aint winning no World Title.
