People are talking Hardy and Johnson but is it Tyron Woodley from Strikeforce?

5-0 now (5 subs). He has the wrestling background but has got 5 subs on his record now. Striking looks good.

6 fight deal with Strikeforce, only one more to go.

Strikeforce need to keep a hold on him like they do Le and Mousasi.

Kyro, Henderson, Rampage etc They need to work HARD to snap them up and create depth.

None of the aforementioned guys are; the fighters with the best chance to beat him are still Jon Fitch, and Thiago Alves. Outside of the UFC I would say Jake Shields.

I know you're a fan of Jake Shields, not sure if you train with him or what but he's in no way a danger to GSP.

As far as outside of UFC there's nobody who is danger to GSP as of right now.

I'm not saying he is a legit threat; I said he is the biggest threat outside of the ufc.

The answer to "Who is the biggest threat outside the ufc?" can't be "nobody" it is a logical impossibility.

Woodley looks like he has potential, but he's fought no one of note. It's a bit premature to claim that he's a threat to GSP or any other top UFC 170 lber.

If there's no threat for him outside of UFC it is VERY logical that a nobody is the answer. You're arguing semantics.

We'll see how johnson does against Kos tonight, Johnson is a Huge WW and has ko power. We'll see how his TD defense is against Kos assuming Kos should try to take him down. I think Johnson has the best chance he has shown good stand up so far and also has a wrestling background anyone his size can be a problem he would have almost 30lbs on GSP(walking around weight)

Well yes, but what I said wasn't giving any undue support to Shields.

If the question is what's the next highest integer to 10, the answer has to be 9; it can't be "10 is too dominant"

So even if there is no real threat, there still has to be a biggest threat.

If Hardy performs like he did against Swick when he fights GSP, then he is going to be in for a world of hurt.

If the question is what's the next highest positive(as a sign of actual force) integer to 1, the answer is null, non-existant, effing ERROR.
Semantics can be argued to death.
There's no threat for GSP outside of UFC. If there is I don't think anyone can tell yet who that is. Though I'd say it HAS to be a good striker rather than a good wrestler. This is something can be argued.
Clearly grapplers don't cut it against GSP at all. He simpy out-grapples them and grinds them out. If GSP is going to lose it will have to be something standing up. From what I remember Shield's credentials in grappling are not on even on par with Kos, Hughes etc. His stand up, for the lack of a better word, is stiff.

Jake Shields striking is whack, he does have a good ground game but so does gsp. I think GSP will beat shields via GNP stoppage.

the only threats for gsp are at MW....

Johnson needs to rebuild. Next up is Hardy who is good but other than his durability and power, I'm not sure if he is a legit threat.

Woodley has the most promise so far. Not on paper but he just looks good.

I'm not saying he has a good, chance, he certainly has almost no chance, just that nobody else has a better chance. There is a difference.

No.

His biggest threat, at Welterweight, is Jon Fitch.
