28 yrs old, 41-1 record.
What's his deal? Padded record or overlooked prospect?

this guy absolutely, positively FUCKING SUCKS>
he is so terrible, worse than Ty Fields and worse than Vinny Maddalone.
He fought that one guy on tv who had a decent record and the guy knocked him down 3 times, then got tired cuz his stamina was garbage. Sosnowski just stayed up long enough till the other guy tired himself out.
Hes slow, hes fat, he throws wide punches, has no D....another heavyweight tomato can with a record so padded it should have SERTA all over it

So lets put him against someone with known name so we will
see if he is really terrible and how much his record is padded.
How about some old lion gate keepers like Quendo, Barrett
or the guys you just mention Fields or Maddalone?

Fields would knock him out, Maddalone would knock him out...and those two are absolutely terrible heavyweights.

:huh
Sosnowski is by no means fat, and he's not all that slow, either.

He does however still lack in the skill department, however he is still improving from fight to fight (strange, as he's had over 40 bouts).
He's stepped up considerably from beating up cans to beating up other fighters with padded records (Herelius, Pucheta). I hear a rematch with Arthur Cook might be next for the Dragon.
I think he will progressively get better, but if he were to step up his comp to the top 20 right now, he would get brutally KOed, imo.

wait, this is the guy who just got signed by Don King right?
isnt there another terrible polish heavyweight who fought on showtime i believe? He got knocked down 3 times in the first and then outlasted this black guy and tkod him? His nickname was the polish warrior and his name was al too. Sorry if I mixed him up with someone else.

He is a decent fighter who should have made a move aged 21 in 2000, he is a couldabeen prospect who dragged his feet too long...
Not in the least fat, and not really slow but never going to set the world alight..............

My take on Sosnowski.
If it makes any sense i would say his record is and isnt padded.40-1 is always eye catching till you look at his competion. At the same time neither he nor his handlers or fans(not very many)pump him up to be something special.
He started Boxing late in life (19-20 years old) and has basically learned his crft as he goes.Kind of like Chavez Jr he is picking up his amatuer experience in the ring against low quality opposition.
I have seen him fight like 4-5 times including his 1 KO loss.He seems to get better and better each time i see him.For someone who started Boxing late he shows pretty good form and technique.
I dont expect him to go any further than maybe a EU title shot but i also wouldnt be surprised if he ends up being the "opponent" in a title fight for one of the major 4 belts.

The way I see it is if his handlers aren't trumpeting him as the next big thing his record is really nothing to get upset over. He's just one of many fighters with a padded record. I'm pretty sure his biggest win is over Orlin Norris which tells u all u need to know about the guy. Norris even won a few rounds in that fight if I recall and he was well past it.

He is a stiff robot with a padded record who would have a tough time with decent journeymen like Sedrick Fields,Sherman Williams,or Roman Sukhoterin.
A poor Polish version of Henry Akinwande.

Sosnowski confirmed for Prizefighter along With Kingpin and Meehan.
Three World title challengers in Betfair Prizefighter International Heavyweights line-up - 17/05/2012
Johnson, Sosnowski and Meehan joined by Dallas for June 20 show
Three World title challengers are in the first four names announced for the Betfair Prizefighter International Heavyweights tournament on Wednesday June 20 at York Hall, Bethnal Green.
Kevin ‘Kingpin’ Johnson, Albert Sosnowski and Kali Meehan have all stepped in the ring to fight for World titles and that trio are joined by Kent’s Tom Dallas in the 25th edition of the eight man, one night tournament live on Sky Sports.
Johnson and Sosnowski have both faced Vitali Klitschko for the WBC belt, while Meehan fell the wrong side of a split decision to Lamon Brewster for the WBO strap.
Kingpin had been lined up for the first International Prizefighter tournament won by Mike Perez in May 2011 in a knockout night at the Alexandra Palace, but passport problems scuppered his involvement. Johnson plans to make up for his absence this time and is in good shape after winning the IBF Australasian title in Queensland in April with his 20th KO in 25 wins.
“I'm ready to put the American heavyweight boxing scene back on the map starting with the Betfair Prizefighter tournament on June 20,” said Johnson. “Like I tell everybody, I am the best American heavyweight - bar none! If people see me, they will know it. Don't worry about Seth Mitchell, Chris Arreola or any of those other clowns. Just focus on me and watch me deliver. I'm the best heavyweight in the world that's not named Klitschko, and after Prizefighter, I'll take care of that too.
“I was devastated when I learned that I couldn't travel last year to participate in Prizefighter. I was in top shape and ready to face every heavyweight in the tournament but I'm going to make up for that this year by knocking out everybody in the first round in all three fights. I'm not taking no chances so I'm bringing my A-game to London.
“I'm already coming off of a huge win in Australia so after this the whole world is going to know that I am back and ready to dominate the heavyweight division. I can't wait to get to the UK and I plan on making it make my second home after I win Prizefighter.”
Tickets for the Betfair Prizefighter International Heavyweights at York Hall, Bethnal Green on Wednesday June 20 are on sale now priced £40 (unreserved) £60 (ringside) and £120 (VIP). Tickets are available from Matchroom Sport on 01277 359900 and at [Only registered and activated users can see links]

I agree.
He was dreadful against Rasani last time out. Rasani is an experienced journeyman who is solid defensively but offers very little in offense. 90% of the young prospects who face him realise they can win just by outworking him, but Sosnowski was too lazy to do that and spent the entire fight throwing shots at a very slow rate which Rasani was able to dodge easily.

He will rise up, beat some solid contenders....but he won't be a champ. Least as it stands now. He might be a title challenger but he won't win. But it also depends on the opponent(champ) at the time I guess...cause by the time Szpilka is ready for a title shot, Vitali will already be retired and Wlad will be the holder of the other 3 belts. So it all depends on who the WBC champ is.
I think he is too relentless and rough in the ring. It may not happen this year, maybe not next year, but one of these days Szpilka is gonna take a bite more than he can chew. Someone like a Arreola would be a roughhouse for him.
He needs a better training camp and someone more motivational in his corner instead of Lapin. Hes a good trainer but hes not for Szpilka imo.

I really want to see Mike Perez in this, to defend his Prizefighter title & end his inactivity. :good
When interviewed Perez said he was fighting in March, but now it's May & he hasn't fought in 5 months or scheduled any fights on Boxrec.
When this next Prizefighter happens, Perez won't have had a fight in half a year! :-(
Inactivity is very bad for his style.
