HUGE win for Kos, puts him right back in contention for a title shot and a rematch with GSP. How does everyone see Koscheck - Hardy going, if it were to happen. Interesting fight.

I think Koscheck would take it to the ground and keep it there pretty easy if he felt like it, don't know if he would choose to though.

Hardy does have good power so he could potentially stop Kos, but I would go with Koscheck by UD

Koscheck is quickly becoming one of my favorite fighters. Besides that pissing fiasco in TUF..he has really been solid both in and out of the cage.

He showed alot of heart with the Alves loss and he just keeps on winning and doing it impressively.

Same here, he's really grown on me. :smoke Definitely a fan now. He just loves to fight, loves to compete. Kos is always looking to challenge himself with seeking out the toughest fights. GSP, Alves, Hardy, anybody, it don't matter. Much respect to Kos on an excellent performance against a highly dangerous opponent.

Have to give Koscheck credit for really developing his standup. I don't think the finger was intentional..

Not sure what to think about that knee on the ground.. Looked like he blocked it with his arm and got grazed on the other eye, and poked himself in the eye while faking an injury, but oh well.. Went from being a no class piece of shit, one dimensional takedown wrestler, to a guy who could hang with Anthony Johnson standing, and fall back on his wrestling. If it wasn't for absolute beasts like GSP and BJ Penn around, he'd probably be a champ..

Wtf, i just watched the video and Kos was holding his left eye when it was his right eye that got poked. LOL The knee, if anything, hit his right eye also. Kos played that one up big time.

I will admit up front, I like Koscheck for personal reasons. I've interviewed him a couple times for articles, and he's always willing to talk and very forthcoming. Hell, he gave me his cellphone number and said to call him whenever I had a question. That's pretty sweet.

With that said, I also like Koscheck the fighter. He's an old-time warrior, always willing to step in at the last minute and take on the toughest guys in the division. He wants to fight 12 times in 2010. That's unheard of. The man is a warrior, and in a matter of years, he's gone from being a lay 'n pray fighter to a well-rounded, dynamic battler.

Did not know that but that sounds real cool and Koscheck seems like a decent guy. As far as him the fighter goes hes one of the most exicting fighters on the planet then last 2 years so you HAVE to love him.

:good:good. It seems like Kos has acquired a lot of new fans (Myself included) over the past year or so, with his attitude!! He is much improved and long may he remain injury free!! As much as I would like to see Hardy fight for the title, I believe that Kos deserves a shot more (If anyone has any doubts, please consider who the guy has fought) but hey i'd love to see them fight each other and were they to do so, i'd have to go with Kos.

I don't know how to make gifs. Watching the fight again, it's clear that Johnson unintentionally puts his thumb in Kos' eye BEFORE he throws the knee, like, less than a second before. That's why Kos' left eye was bothering him.

So you're saying Anthony poked Kos in the eye twice (once in left and once in right) in like one second? I don't know about that. I saw the poke to the right eye clearly but didn't see anything else.

It was before he threw the knee. Watch Johnson's right hand.

Definitely. Sure has. Welcome to ESB as well. I'd like to see Kos in any of the fights you mentioned above. Really looking forward to seeing what's next for him. Koscheck - Hardy would be good. Looks like it could well be a grudge match too.

I see his hand come close but don't see a poke. See an obvious poke AFTER the knee though

He wasn't involved in the pissing fiasco, but yeah I agree, he showed heart in the Alves loss and just seems to be getting better. I think he would destroy Paulo Thiago in a rematch and he'd have a chance to beat Alves in a rematch as well. People forget KOS excepted that fight on short notice so he really wasn't prepared for Alves and still gave it a good effort.

I thought that he was faking it last night too. However, after watching it again, Kos was poked in the eye with Johnson's thumb BEFORE the knee. Watch when Johnson brings his hands underneathe, his thumb digs and drags right through Kos' eye.

The guy knows something most contenders dont.

He cannot avoid anyone..
He must take on everyone..
He must fight on two weeks notice.
He must fight twice a month if necessary

this is the only way he can prepare himself for GSP.

Hes GSPs biggest challenge. He was the last man to take GSP down, most forget this.

Glad to see Koscheck derail the hype machine surrounding Johnson.

It looked to me like the knee hit Kos's forearm and pushed that back into his eye. There wasn't any faking there, as he immediately fell backwards grabbing the eye and it was clearly jacked up when the was standing there. If he wanted out of the fight he could have gotten out of it at that point, but he didn't.

Johnson gassed badly and should really think about moving up.

Lets see Kos vs. Hardy and Johnson vs. Alves soon.
