FW is taking no chances with Duncan Cottier. He is 3-55, but I accept has only been stopped 5 times.

Its only his first fight, who do you want him to fight?

Why? It's not like the lad has had tons of amateur experience. Give him a bum first time out and build some confidence up. It's if he's fighting people with that sort of record in ten fights time, that's when we should be worried.

Tough crowd!! He's on his pro debut with a guy that won't beat him but that should let him get some rounds in.

If he's still fighting these type of guys after 10 fights then fair enough but as a first fight theres nothing wrong with it IMHO.

colinthfc have you ever even seen Cottier fight? The guy is hard as nails. He very very rarely gets stopped - 4 rounders, 6 rounders, 8 rounders - he's one to use to get in the rounds. I'm surprised ****** has put him in with him straight away. I thought he'd put him in with a four fight novice from Hungary or something. This will be well worth watching.

I'll be very impressed if he stops him in 3 as frankie suggests. Let's hope so!

The kid will be class. I've seen loads of him in the gym.

Only a young lad a looks small but he can dig thats for sure. I've seen a lot of him as an amateur and a lot of his work in the gym. He's not like Hatton in the sense that he takes 3 punches to land one. I think with the likes of Bell/Gavin to train alongside we'll see his defense help him out too.

Excellent prospect and really really looking forward to watching him develop !
