I did something similar this morning and ended up with 4 fighters on 2 points.
Froch will be lucky to win another fight, I think Dirrell can outbox Ward and IMHO Taylor will outbox both Ward and Kessler.
That made my standings:
Abraham 8 pts
Taylor 4 pts
Kessler 2 pts
Froch 2 pts
Ward 2 pts
Dirrel 2pts
Which surprised even me.
I had Ward as my dark horse for the tourney before last night, and he showed the expected promise last night. What remains to be seen though (as with Dirrell IMO) was just how much of that was down to him, rather than his opponent making him look good.

You have to ask whether Kessler can change up his tactics, and maybe have a closer second go round with Ward. I doubt it, but always possible.

I don't want to predicate past the next round as i can't foresee to much and things and complications may arise along with fighters losing and going into the final fight with a loss.
Arthur Abraham Vs Andre Dirrell- Well i'm going to put part of Danny Flexen's article at the bottom of this and it will be interesting to read about Dirrell and him sulking. I feel he looked very good when aggressive and angry and i see him taking rounds against Abraham but i don't see him taking the fight. Abraham i see breaking him mentally and physically and i think he could stop him late. Yes he made Froch miss but he Abraham is very accurate and is a clean one punch knockout artist where as imo Froch relies on accumulation of power punches to take his opponents will.
Andre Ward Vs Jermaine Taylor-I just cannot see Taylor winning this fight, I think Ward can only get better and i feel in terms of skillset and also belief he just has more and the fight stylistically is his fight to win.
Mikkel Kessler Vs Carl Froch-This is the one i'm really not sure about. A lot of people going for Kessler i'm gonna stick my neck out and go for Froch. Unbeaten men are hard to beat we all know this but i also feel that last night may linger with Kessler more then it did against Calzaghe.
I think it will be nip and tuck but i feel Froch can get close to him and i also feel his in fighting and roughness may again upset Kessler and make it more of a fight then people think it will be and a fight it will be. I just go for Froch at this stage but i haven't studied it to much so don't take it as gospel from me but i think the table will look like this at the end of round 2 of the super six.
Abraham-6 Points
Ward-5 Points
Froch-4 Points
Dirrell-0 Points
Kessler-0 Points
Taylor-0 Points

Ok here's Dirrell's Uncle and Trainer talking about Froch, and the upcoming fight against Arthur Abraham.
Dirrell has just had some dental work done but his uncle and trainer Lawson Jnr was only to happy to talk up the chances of his nephew’s friend and former amateur team-mate.
“I’ve just been with his team watching him, on tape, getting some work in,” Lawson, who will be travelling with Dirrell and his father to support Ward, revealed. “He looked real strong and I have every confidence that he can outbox the best fighters in this tournament. Hopefully he won’t get a raw deal like we did [against Froch].
“Their fight will get heated faster than Dirrell-Froch. I think Kessler is in for a surprise, Ward will start faster than he has in the past. I’ll have my money on him. What impressed me most about him was his high output of work, how he stayed controlled and busy.”
Lawson remains aggrieved that the split decision in Nottingham last month went the way of Froch and is relieved his nephew’s next bout – against Abraham – will be State-side.
“I definitely want to thank the English fans, so many of them embraced us. Andre definitely won, the world has seen it and the fans let us know who the real winner was. The English fans were not biased at all.
“He whipped the s*** out of Froch, hurt him in the 10th, the 11th, was beating him rounds one through five. The only rounds you could give to Froch was when he was fighting dirty, rounds six through eight. That’s all.
“We’re talking about Abraham in January, but we’ll never go out of the country again. If they want us to continue to fight in the Super Six, the Abraham fight will have to be in America, but they’ve already said it will be in America; they’re talking MSG.
Abraham, topping the Super Six table by virtue of recording the only stoppage so far, over Jermain Taylor, is convinced that Kessler will prevail on Saturday.
“I expect a tough fight and a very hot battle,” Abraham stated. “Ward is not to be underestimated, he is technically very sound and can also punch hard. But I hope that my new [promotional] stablemate Mikkel Kessler wins. He is very versatile, very experienced and he has great vision and anticipation in the ring. And most importantly, the ‘Viking Warrior’ is a true fighter. I would go with a points victory for Mikkel.”
And he added: “I am back in training in Berlin. On November 16, we will move training camp to Kienbaum. I cannot wait to fight Andre Dirrell. I have started my preparations and look forward to returning to the ring.”

Why dont team Dirrell let it go? other than sum haters on forums everyone agree's Andre Dirrell was not worthy of a world title.
Furthermore this 'were not travelling again' is bollocks as it was two foreign judges who scored it for Froch !!
I'd laugh if Ward lost to Taylor or Dirrell - anything is possible and when it comes to speed and pure boxing ability its not as far fetched as it sounds.

Is he done in this tournament as far as winning goes or can he regroup and come back stronger?
I'm not writing him off yet.

I think Dirrell, and his team, need to shut up now. They threw the fight away by fighting with so little positive momentum. The holding, falling over, complaining and almost propelling himself away from the other man made Froch look like some deadly destroyer.
If they'd actually started fighting with bad intentions earlier on, when they knew Froch didn't have the ability to do much, then they'd have won, possibly by KO and be in a much better position.

What happens if people are tied on points?
The Super Six website says in event of a tie there'll be a tie-breaker - though they don't say what that tie-breaker will entail...

My thoughts on the participants so far:
Abraham - not convinced that he's exceptional, simply because it is likely that he KO'd a Taylor that's now damaged goods. I still think a durable well schooled boxer beats him, even if his punch does turn out to be the biggest in the division.
Ward - Looked the best boxer in the tourny against Kessler, but nowhere near a potential great as some people are claiming. Has shown frailty in the past and that may be his undoing again eventually.
Froch - Looks very average at this level, personally I thought he was well beaten by Dirrell. Chin that was impregnable at a lower level can be dented, if not breached at this; powerhas has to be shown to be far from conclusive as well.
Kessler - Lookd one dimensional again against a faster, athletic fighter with more improvisation. Reputation may well be borne from the division having been full of similarly limited Europeans for most of his reign.
Dirrell - Going totally against the grain, I think still the best pure boxer in the tourny. Despite turning judges and fans against him with his bitching, it was interesting he never looked hurt and didn't fall apart as such against Froch, despite obviously being a fighter who is distinctly uncomfortable being roughed-up. Shook Froch up as well towards the end, suggesting decent power.
Fight predictions:
Andre Dirrell UD12 Arthur Abraham - Dirrell to have learnt from his shortcomings against Froch and get the job done against AA who won't be able to catch up to him.
Mikkel Kessler SD12 Carl Froch - Kessler roared on by home fans in a gruelling fight, getting a close decision, with Froch claiming he was robbed.
Andre Ward TKO10 Jermaine Taylor - Taylor's essential last hurrah, ha his moments, but Ward's freshness and energy enable him to step up the pace. Taylor's corner or the referee call it off to spare him unecessary punishment.
Arthur Abraham SD12 Carl Froch - Both fighters one paced approach makes for hard judging, Abraham getting the benefit of the crowd influencing judges coring, Froch complaining bitterly of being robbed again.
Andre Dirrell SD12 Andre Ward - Whilst Ward can look good against one-dimesional Europeans, Dirrell fights a tactically perfect fight to nick the decision, but in a manner not to the fans liking.
Mikkel Kessler TKO6 Jermaine Taylor - A stroll for Kessler, as Taylor practically going thru the motions one last time.
Ward 5 points
Kessler 5 points
Dirrell 4 points
Abraham 3 points
--------------------
Froch 2 points
Taylor 0 points
Semis:
Abraham KO10 Ward - Ward to be outclassing Abraham, until he gets careless just once.
Dirrell UD12 Kessler - Dirrell to again win a bore, always a step or two ahead of Kessler who still can't find a way of changing pace or tactics against a slippery opponent.
Final:
Dirrell UD12 Abraham - Repeat of the first encounter, almost an anticlamtic end.

I think Froch is over-rated by the U.K fans and he over-rates himself but i think he needs to be given some credit, hes world champ, never been beat, got one of the best chins in world boxing, he beat Dirrell even in doubous circumstances and he has fought outside his homecountry and won. I think he will beat Kessler, but could loose to Abraham down the line. Taylor upset Ward and become world champion, now that would be a turn up!

I fully expect Kessler to shatter this myth in Copenhagen.
I think Froch is up there in having one of the best chins, its certainly been tested, some of Taylors and Pascals shots he just ate up, i know he was on the floor in the Taylor fight but his head cleared quick and he won the fight. Pascal is quite a big puncher considering he has now moved up to light heavy and can still punch at that weight.

I think Ward and Abraham are getting far too much credit on these forums considering how they won there 1st round fights.Taylor looked shot to shit against Abraham and Kessler ran out of idea's and heart against Ward.
Taylor will always struggle against the pressure fighters and punchers, but in an out and out boxing match he could still surprise a few people.
Froch didn't look great against Dirrell, but he will always look bad against quick, technical fighters i.e. Ward,Taylor,Dirrell.Trouble with Dirrell was his unwillingness to engage, and his constant holding prevented Froch from landing anything of note.
Kessler looked very weak and one dimensional against Ward, not only did Wards speed cause him fits, but when it got rough Kessler let Ward bully him.He needs to KO Froch or his tourney is over, and i just dont see Froch allowing him to keep the fight at mid range as he likes to do,i think Froch will try and rough Kessler up and prevent him boxing.
Dirrell ????? he was way better than i thought he was,but i'm not sure he has much faith in his chin. He's easily as fast as Ward, but Dirrell has concussive power,i dont see Ward stopping anyone with one punch.
I'm just going to have to get splinters in my ass,as i still think 4 from 6 still have a chance at winning.:good
