Put a gun to his head...

:lol:Oh a little bit harsh there I fear. Is that the new heavyweight guy? if so looks very one dimensional, like a bodybuilder turned boxer, no rhythm, no speed, no clue, big lump of a lad though

He has big hands and big feet, they're the things maloney looks for in a fighter.

Tough crowd

Yeah he sucks skill wise but he's obviously got raw strength and power. For such a late starter if he gets in contention for a British title that would be a great achievement. The sport is all about levels, thats his level and coming from where he is without much experience he'd have done well.

Larry is Ok. With his power he should at least be challenging for the British Masters title, I mean the division is hardly stacked with talent right now either. He has got poor stamina from what I have seen (against Peret he was exhausted in the 5th round) and a lack of boxing skills (although this could be worked on), and anyone who can box a bit can easily win a lop-sided division against him as long as they don't get tagged. I see him being used by Maloney as a credible opponent for one of his other heavys, maybe even Price in a couple fights time, although Dallas would be my pick.

Maybe I'm a bit harsh on him, eh, no dont think I am on second thoughts:D

it's strange becuase when you saw his gym footage he was using solid countering ability.had a nice sort of qawi shoulder roll thing going on and good handspeed and a jab. even in his fights his handspeed is pretty good for a man for his size. not very agile though. but his in ring style is right hand happy. too open and clearly tires.

i think it was detremental that he was being put in with guys who are not there to give him a challenge. has lead him to believe he can bomb out anybody..he prolly can but thats not how you go about it. also for guy with his physical strength it's surprising that he isnt bullying his opponants. he seems to stand off with a bob sapp mentality.

the way he went agaisnt peret was piss poor and peret got lucky he happend to be big enough and solid enough not to fold.

different level of raw but has a sort of talent and ability.

He's already lost, and it was to that hairy backed Russian journeyman that Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora already beat. Olubamiwo is seriously awful.

Look, Cotto20, just go for it. Gauging your potential on Larry Olabamiwo is going to get you nowhere. How many different thread titles can you post basically the same thread???

Fucking lol.

I saw him live at the first Jaffa fight, he burned out after 2 rounds and Shrek outclassed him for the next few. The Frank Bruno of the now, but with even less stamina and much less power. He couldn't KO someone on Punchout nevermind in the ring.

Didn't want to though and wasn't especially hurt. I'm sure he would've preferred to go on.
