The Phillipines had produced some great fighters - Pancho Villa, Ceferino Garcia, Flash Elorde, Luisito Espinosa, Small Montana, and now Manny Pacquiao. And probably others I've forgotten.

I think itīs between Pancho Villa, Flash Elorde and Manny Pacquiao. Never really thought about it but I think these three would be Top3 and in one tier.

Overall it's Pac imo.Elorde would be at least even money head to head with him. That's a great hypothetical stylistically...almost certain to be a great fight with everything that would be at stake.
erbito Salavarria is very underrated and rarely mentioned.Very nice tall standup technician taht threw really sharp, whipping punches. One of the excellent '70s flyweight crop with Oguma,Hanagata, Betulio Gonzalez,Espadas, Alfonso Lopez and so on.

Ceferino Garcia had an incredible resume including the Billy Soose tec draw 7.
Was really a case of Soose getting his ass whipped.

You'd have to say Pacquiao at this point, given what he's achieved, and I'm not as taken by him as most. No disrespect to Villa, Elorde or Garcia; great fighters all, especially Elorde. I think Villa gets a bit overrated to be honest. The record doesn't warrant the overall myth.
I think Pac might have even overtaken Harada as the greatest Asian in a career sense. Harada was the greater fighter at his peak though IMO. Pacquiao would have to beat Mayweather to top those two wins over Jofre.

Pacquiao for sure. I think hes done enough to be ranked higher than the others.
