I know the Contender has gotten a lot of sh*t in the past for being too sentimental...but I have to say, that seen with Jaidon really had me feeling for him. That's rough news, and I give it up to him for staying in the tournament. also, I give it up to Ray for being a decent and kind mentor. Having a legend console you like that, I'm sure it really helped Jaidon out, for real.

Miguel will continue to fight on but he suprised the blue team tonight. Ol' Yory Boy took care of him back in 2006. But Yori is on another level.

Yori boy is a 100 victory fighter, so he's a tough bastard. However, Miguel was clearly out of shape and Wayne was clearly in shape and very focused/determined. However, he has a LOT to learn and I suspect he's going to get dropped if he has to fight Codrington or Bika.

Yeah Miguel was fat and out of shape, Neither of those 2 are gonna win the contender. Jaidon stops both of them IMO.

Miguel was focused more on the crowd than anything else... It was a good fight... Blue Team gon win the next two fights with out a doubt...:bbb

I thought Pepe gave Jhonson bad advice by telling him to work forward behind his jab. I thought he could have countered Hernandez all fight long, also using alot of lateral movement would have given him lots of angles Hernandez is short and throws round punches. Jhonson IMO should never have got inside. First time Ive seen him fight mabey he doesn't counter well?

That choked me up a bit too. Made me feel a little bad about bashing the kid for his glass jaw. It's tough losing your father, take my word for it.:yep

The fight was actually pretty good - less "jazzed up" than I remember them being on this show when I last watched it a couple of years ago.

They are MUCH less edited. Still some, but not like the first season where ever shot was teh double KD from Rocky 2.

Plus, they are giving the unedited fights this season. Think they are on tomorrow night at 12:30 on ESPN 2. Could be wrong though. I saw the first unedited fight on ESPN.com.

Yeah - I could actually watch the fight without saying to myself "this is a f*ckin' joke." I think it was the first season I watched, and that was it for me.

It has been greatly improved. I wish they showed the unedited fights at a more convenient time, however.

I almost turned it off when Hernandez chose Johnsen but I knew it was coming. I have no interest in either fighter and I continued to watch it only cuz there was nothing else on. I want to see Soliman fight Bika in an all-Aussie showdown.

Don't worry neither of them will make it to the final. lol

You know what? I take back my last post. I respect both guys for going for their dreams. Seriously, I shouldn't be criticizing any fighters. Hernandez and Johnsen seem like good guys so I was out of line.

Plus Bika isn't Aussie, he's from Cameroon. He's Aussie like Maskaev is American.

It was at that point I knew Hernandez wasn't getting anywhere in this thing. I haven't even seen the 2nd fight yet (Soliman's) :(

I know that but his career is based out of Australia and he's fighting under the Australian flag is he not? That's enough for me.

I cant for the life of me figure out why they didnt tell him to throw the uppercut!!! Hernandez was frigging begging for it:yep

Not overly impressed with either guy but we already know they arent making the final.

Not with Sakio or Jaidon on the show. Bika took 4 rounds from Calzaghe and made him fight. No way he loses this tournament.

Or Soliman.

Yet, the cats already been let out of the bag so to speak since these "events" have already occurred.

Thats the biggest mistake they made this year with the Contender.

How do uno sam doesn't make it?I don't think he was talking about Sam. But I don't think Sam will make the final. He's as awkward as hell, but someone like Codrington clearly has his measure.

Because all the fights are already pre-taped and only the final is live. ;)
