Mike Kyle's indefinate suspension was apparently lifted earlier this month, and he is already signed to fight in the Central Valley Cagefighting event on October 2 in Fresno, CA.

For those of you unaware (although I can't imagine anyone here is), Kyle was suspended indefinately in October 2006 for illegally kicking Brian Olsen in the face, and then continuing to assault (and make no mistake, it was an assault) his unconcious opponent after a fight. The victim, Olsen, suffered multiple fractures to his face and has continued to suffer long-term from the beating, which included a postfight head stomp and multiple strikes. It took Herb Dean running into the ring to assist the original referee in removing Kyle from Olsen. In his previous fights, Kyle has bitten opponents and attempting to gouge the eye of another. In almost all of his fights Kyle has at some point deliberately ignored referee instruction.

I believe as well as I would think the majority of the MMA fan base that Mr. Kyle's continued behavior inside the ring will result in another incident that we all hope isn't as bad or worse. Looks to me like he just got caught up in the moment. It all happened in a matter of around four seconds. When you go on attack mode that sort of thing happens. I've seen it happen in the UFC before with long chokes, or sometimes a guy will have someone out already and land a couple more, or even miss..

I feel sorry for the guy who's suffering, but its part of the sport. If Mike Kyle does that again, or if he has a history of that in the ring then I would send an Email. If you have an example of him doing it in another fight, I will send an Email.

well...that soccer kick was brutal..(then again it used to be part of the norm under pride fc rules). anyway , he violated the rules + ignored the ref...I don't know if his mma career if fucked but i doubt we'll see him fight again anytime soon...
