it should be an incredibly standard fight for a 4-0 prospect with his sort of background. if he isn't fighting guys with winning records who've never had a quality win in their life then we aren't expecting much.

gavin is better than degale and saunders. at least he looks it and i said it from day one. i want to see him step up in class.

i agree mate we were gonna turn it down we wanted to fight someone from over here u get more credit an we know what there like he holds a first round stoppage over some one who took khan distance over 8 or 10 but then lost to him later on on points an he holds a first round ko over a former ebu lightweight champion but would still rather fight someone i know something about

it's not a different game. it's combat and in combat people want to see a competative match up that results in a good tough fight.

I always think they bring these foreign guys over for financial reasons only but the benefits are limited, as you've said above- still do a number on him like Tony did and you'll get a good response. Sure I read in boxing news a while back that they were looking at Nigel Wright, Dean Harrison as possible opponents in the near future. Fighting those this soon would be very impressive.

Yeah mate I was thinking more in the future, thats well impressive though that theyre knocking names like that about after you've only fought 4 times. Both of them British title challengers.

The fight with Dean (alhough he got stopped recently and unsure on his futre) would be a intriguing one, local derby and all that, plus you've sparred aint u? Dunno if I'd want to see it though cos you've already outclassed one of our (Wolverhampton) hometown favourites! ha.

i think this stupid 0 obession is because of the amount of belts out there.Having a belt no longer means your a great fighter to casuals or the media so the 0 is seen as the mark of a great fighter

Nigel Wright is quality, that would be a great achievement so early in your career.

Frankie is progressing at a fantastic pace and quicker than everyone expected, It didn't shock me though, I stated from day 1 that Frankie was the best kid I've been around, His boxing ability is unreal, Just look at the Saville fight..

I think Frankie will be reigning British,Commenwealth champion this time next year!! Now that would be a fantstic achievement but 1 I firmly believe he's more than capable of!! I remember a comment from Alex Arthur after sparring Frankie it goes like this, His exact words "Frankie Gavin is the best kid I've ever shared a ring with" Some feat lookin at the places were Alex has been, USA (Roach), Scott Harrison to name but a few of many..

Cheers Bomber had a look at his record he seems super durable only been stopped once back in 02 and taken a number of decent fighters the distance so you should get some rounds in, if you do a job on him then that would be an impressive statement.
