He says he isn't 100% in shape and has only done some training which includes a few rounds with Anthony Johnson.

Yeah. He's another zuffa clown that lost to Josh Koscheck (who is also a sucky zuffa TUFer who can't fight.) We know Koscheck can't fight because he lost to GSP another zuffa clown. GSP sucks because he lost to Matt Serra another TUFer.

DIE ZUFFA DIE!

...also, Fertitas suck at running casinos and that is somehow relevant to MMA.

(I apologize for this post, but I do see why he does it. It is kind of entertaining.)

The Cung Le vs Scott Smith fight should be highly entertaining. Smith has enough punch to keep Cung honest. It's all a matter of how much ring rust Cung has to shake off. Could take him a few rounds to find his range.

Smith is a tough guy and has been in some amazing back and forth brawls. But he has zero defence, & his offense is completely predictable. If Cung is remotely in shape, this will be target practice. Which sucks, because Smith seems like a good guy who always gives it everything he's got. But, for his sake, he needs to be matched with guys closer to his skill level.

Smith has no skill though. Now he's just damaged goods.

I hope Cung fares better against Smith than Johnson did in his fight with koscheck.

Like I said, it's another "tough" opponent, with "heart", who likes to "stand/swing/trade/bang" yet is not actually a striker.

I suppose he has earned a comeback fight that's an easy style matchup, but is he ever going to fight anybody outside of this mold? A real striker? A grappler who will actually work relentlessly for a takedown? Or just more fun showcase fights for Le?

I don't know - but probably not any time soon. Cung Le will probably only have one more fight before going back to the movies next year. After that it could be another year before he fights again.

Hopefully he takes the Shields fight before doing another movie.
