My mate Mark Douglas is fighting Lee Purdy for the southern areas welter title. I been sparring Mark a bit lately and can confirm he is strong as a bull at the weight and massively up for this one.
Should be well worth a watch :good

I was happy to see Bailey get a deserved decision. Usually the referee will give the win to the prospect.
I was at Bailey's fight a few weeks back against Kris "Badger" Hughes in Glasgow. I was very impressed with Bailey that night. He was relentless! Hughes boxed brilliantly on the backfoot, but Bailey would not be discouraged!:bbb

Cheers fellas. Not to sure on Barker at the minute looks good in most departments besides power but you think he would have went for some decent names after 21 fights. Picking up the brit title after 21 fights at that weight seems a little slow to me.

I don't see why he can't progress further.
Knowing Mick he will have him going for the Losdale outright....
But the division isn't great right now, perfect time to step up rather than waiting for Williams to thrash everyone.
Yeah but there are a lot of good prospects coming through and I'm not convinced Barker is the best of them.
I reckon Macklin might lose to Pirog and then the fight with Barker will suddenly be on the radar.

I'm not saying he is a world beater by any means, but is he going to improve much at his age?
He is a nice boxer, good jab, uses both hands etc, I say stick him in if a fight can be made.
Fucking about at domestic level doesn't do any fighter any favours, they just get sloppy. Better to try and lose than never try at all.
