I think coming off their losses in fights they were supposed to win, it would be interesting to see these two power punchers go toe-to-toe. Who will win. My pick is Jeff lacy.

Calzaghe would have been life and death with Miranda. It wouldn't have gone down like that if Mirnada fought Calzaghe. And yes, he could of absorbed it, it just wouldn't have happened. :smoke:smoke

Unless Lacy screws up his arm again, Lacy wins this one. He's just much more skillful than Miranda. Also, Lacy has a solid enough chin to take away Miranda's puncher's chance.

Lacy was hurt very badly in his last fight with Tsypco. He didn't look right. Mirnda has fought some real hitters and only Pavlik took him down.

Tsypko started landing after Lacy injured his shoulders but never was he hurt very badly.

BTW Lacy fought the harder competition, not miranda.

Miranda was stunned by an old Eastman, got backed up by Abraham, and got knocked down by Green and absolutely destroyed by Pavlik so I dont see where his superior toughness comes from. I can't imagine Allen Green and PAvlik doing that to LAcy..

They are pretty much equal in terms of toughness.

I think they are both broken fighters given their physic and media hype, and now losses to good fighters, but I still think Lacy has the edge. Better trainer, better camp. He was dominated by calzaghe but has never been knocked out. He can absorb way more punishment than Miranda.

Miranda got crap for defense. He was weight drained against Kelly and threw crap punches too. At 168 he should feel more comfortable. Lacy and Miranda both have crap defense. I would say Lacy would win... but he did have a severe career injury. So I am edging miranda.

Lacy by far. Look at his debut and you'll see he has the basic skills that Miranda's lacking. He may have abandoned them of late, but they're still there. Miranda on the other hand hasn't shown that kind of offensive variety at any point.

Lacy's power is more proven too. The only fighter Miranda stopped of real note is an old Eastman, and even that stoppage was questionable. Lacy on the other hand has stopped Robin Reid, a fighter that achieved more and had never even been dropped before fighting Lacy. Lacy's power is proven at this weight too, whereas Miranda hasn't been tested.

As far as chins go, Lacy's is better. He's been dropped once after 12 rounds of sustained punishment. Miranda meanwhile has been destroyed by Pavlik, dropped by an unfit Green fighting at a weight below his natural class, wobbled by a half dead Abraham and rocked by an old Eastman.

I can't see a single area in which I'd give Miranda the edge here.

Miranda has the potential to BECOME good, but he's done nothing special so far (Green was a legend in his own mind ).

Lacy is NOT the place to start a comeback as far as Miranda is concerned.

He would get killed at this stage.

They are both strong fighters, but Lacy being the better technician of the two, I would believe that Lacy takes this. Miranda has no other choice than to fight Lacy where he is strongest - and thats a contest that Edison will lose.

Smartness, speed, precision are the things that blows Lacy off the ground, and Miranda has neither.

Lacy would win. Lacy is a good fighter. Miranda is a Mayorga. It is a lesser version of Tito v Mayorga. That may be pushing it. Either way Miranda only has a punchers chance.
