According to boxrec (the most reliable source of info on the web, right?) Calzaghe is listed at 5' 11 1/2"

boxing rec has it wrong.

they are about the same height.

i saw some photos in a magazine with calzaghe posing with ray leanord who is 5.10 and calzaghe is obviously about 3 inches taller.

Why is there so much talk about what height Calzaghe has? He could be 5"2 and would still do the same thing, same as Kessler probably would, even if he was 7"2.

They're about the same height, with Kessler having a slightly longer reach. Therefore, I don't think this will be a big factor.

Seems you need to upgrade your glasses..in all the above pictures, Calzaghe is no way taller than Kessler.

He has longer face though, which might give a distorted impression.

they are about the same height, all the photo`s indicate that.

if calzaghe was 5.11 which he is listed at then mundine must be 5.8 and not the 5.11 he is listed at.

I would say the official stats of fighters are often distorted in order to confuse their opponents. I know they do that in other sports all the time.

Calzaghe can't be any taller than 6''1 and Kessler's height might be a bit exxagerrated.. Im exactly 6''1 and when i stood face to face with Calzaghe, we're the same height. koreans are really tall. :good

All I know is that fightérs' height is adjusted to be more or less close to his opponent every fight - to help hype up the fight )making it appear to be evenly matched).

Leonard is a shade under 5'10 I believe.

Pictures can't be used, since either of them could be wearing shoes with thick soles. Furthermore, on each of the pictures presented at least one person is crouching slightly, or angled shots.

Pictures of them standing side by side from the same perspective, and none of them crouching with boxing shoes on is the only way to be certain.

Calzaghe is a shade shorter than I am, so I'd say just over 6ft.

There is a reason why Calzaghe is considered the most versatille fighter in the world, he can adapt his height for fights against different opponents.

Joe Calzaghe is also better looking. This might make Jake jealous and cause him to lose his cool. Which definitely wouldn't be a good thing for Jake.

:rofl

one of my favourite chj quotes, although the one he just posted in this thread is pretty superb as well.

I say he is 6'0 feet in shoes. I say Kesseler is 6'1 in shoes

Why do people care so much about how tall he and Kesseler are? I know this in not the first thread to discuss this. What is so fascinating?:deal
