According to Boxrec. That is very dissappoining. At least the Boswell option would have put him against a guy with some pop.

That's an absolute shocker. I've never heard of him, seems like another guy with no power and small.

Povetkin's career the last years has been as big of a disapointment as I can remember. For such a good amateur and for the positive start he made in the pros culminating in the win over Chambers things have really taken a nosedive. The cautious matchmaking and inactivity are at odds, being cautious is one thing but staying out of the ring has likely hurt him just as much as any loss would have done.

His level of competition seems to be stagnating

with wins over chambers, byrd, estrada and donald, he will be well equipped for the next era (which will come soon), when the champs will likely be smaller, faster or peskier.

i don't like the inactivity, though. he was absolutely gassed in the middle stages of the estrada fight.

I have seen Nolan. His nickname is the Jedi. He can't punch hard. Povetkin may be attempting to rework his style, so this fight makes sense,

Agreed. It would be unwise for Povetkin to begin reworking his style against a heavy puncher. Thus, Nolan is an appropriate comeback opponent.

Yeah but why the hell is he having a comeback in the first place? He wasn't injured...what were they doing?

This is a serious sport you can't take a few years off.

Alexander Povetkin is back down to 221.6 pounds, his lowest weight since 2006.

As soon as I seen his weigh-in picture he looked leaner than usual.

221,6 is a very good weight for Povetkin.

Any weigh-in pictures?

Sounds like Povetkin destroyed him. No surprise there, but how did he look? Any new wrinkles noticeably added by Atlas so far?

Nolan was a punching bag, and if Sascha has some knew tools, he didn't get much chance to show them.
