it simply isnt true. Camacho ran the rest of the rosario fight, but when he moved to 140, he was not a runner. And he definitely wasnt against Vinny Paz. I used to take it as fact b.c everyone says it, but chalk it up to another boxing myth.

I think he became a safety-first runner b/c he became older and was fighting in his 4th weight class, one he wasnt big enough for at 147.
