Just interested to what people think about vic's chin??
I aint going to jump on the wagon and say he has a glass chin as that was one hell of a shot he got caught with..
But as it was the first loss and by brutal ko the jury is still out i quess.

it was a solid punch... and he didnt see it..i think its not of granite or glass...somewhere in between..i've seen him take punches before...pretty average if you asked me.

that perfect left hook could have gotten any chin.

Incredible shot, didn't see it coming... I think his defence is the problem. Not his chin.

I agree with the rest of the guys - it was a crisp short left hook - Vic was so busy being overly aggressive, as he always is, and got caught with a shot he didn't see.
He almost looked like Jones after the Tarver shot. You know how everyone wanted to see Prince Hamed go down - that's how I felt when Vic got dropped. Just for the record - I loved The Prince - but not that fond of Vic. Even though he's an exciting fighter.

Anyone who got caught with that shot would have found it hard to get back going no matter how great a chin BUT Vic has a shit defense and is a nob head who deserved getting knocked out in such hilarious circumstances. The footage of the shot is an all time classic.

Whoever gets into that wicked punch thrown by Donaire will definitely go down like an overriped apple falling on the ground. ;)

Average chin,i mean Vic can take punches its just his bad style that invited Donaire's big left hook. But i think that style of his wont get him very far.

Vic also feasted on smaller guys. when nonito hit back Vic looked suprised.
It may have been decent but it's shattered now.

I agree. I always saw him on showtime fighting these small guys that were half his size. That was his downfall... Since he was the bigger guy most all the time, he went in there walking guys down, fighting like a bull...not boxing at all. When he finally fought someone his own size with some regular boxing skills, the consequences set in.
The KO reminds me very much so of Tarver / Jones KO. The punch didn't seem to be very hard but the effect was obviously there; he was KTFO. The difference was that Jones was kind of leaning away from Tarver's punch and Tarver was throwing it in with force, while with the Nonito KO, Vic rushed his head into the punch and Nonito was going backwards and put the left the hook out there. Either way, I think the timing of the punch was perfect.

Not even Oliver Mcall can take the kind of clean shots he was taking in that fight. That dude needs to learn some defense in a hurry or hes going to get brain damage.

I dont think its so much his chin. That punched wouldve KOd a buffalo.... Nor do I think its his defense as much. Its the fact that he JUMPS in with EVERY punch, creating that much more leverage on the punch.

Questionable, certainly - and seemingly quite shaky. It remains to be seen if he gets starched again for us to be able to conclude it's glass.:yep
