one punch ko specialist jackson, against the all out aggression of fellow powerhouse nigel benn. does jackson have enough defence to keep the all out attack of nigel benn off him? does benn have a good enough chin to avoid the same fate as graham and norris?
who takes this slugfest?

I reckon you could do this one ten times and get ten different results. Its a toss of the coin to me, however I reckon Jackson might just sneak through a better shot after copping some earlier punishment. Benn would take the first and have Julian in trouble but invariably leave himself too open and bang...
Jackson KO2
I'd be first in line for the rematch too.

well benn beat an equally as big a banger in macCllenen who was also technically better than jackson.i'd take the dark destroyer to come through and stop jackson sometime between 8 and 12.

Benn beat McCellan who destroyed Jackson. But fights are about styles.
People say Benn had a weak chin but actually his chin was very good he just ran out of steam in his earlier career. He took McCellans best punches and came back to win, this takes some chin.
Jackson could be backed up and was against McCallum. I would expect Benn to do the exact same thing and win the fight in the first 4rounds

Very true, 2 great bangers with dodgy chins, you couldn't predict a result with any great certainty, but would be fun while it lasted and you'd always pay to see it.

I think Nigel has a few more Surprises to Spring Then Julien
1/ Nigel can Box for his openings when the mood or necessity takes him
Julien would not provide that "Local Rival" element that made Nigel lose his Head and become a "Kamikaze" as he did against Watson or Eubank, also Julien is a respectful guy, so will not stoke Nigel up Pre-Fight like eubank or Anthony Logan did, do not expect Nigel to charge into Julien in a Silly Manner ( as he did in his Early "Mohawk" Years..)
2/Nigel can Switch Modes very quickly from Boxing to all out Aggression should he ring his opponents bell, Julien is less unpredictable
always poised looking for the right shot, but often not doing much until he finds the spot, Benn's duel ability to box and Fight might Leave Julien too occupied to find his perfect shot ?
3/ if Benn catches Julien i would expect him to finish him off fairly promptly, if Julien Catches Benn, i do not discount Benn getting up, swaying on the ropes fom Julien's follow-up, then catching Julien with a big surprise counter, as in the Logan Fight ( its on UTube - what a Blast !)
4/ Nigel may see Julien as a beefed up Lt Middle, he may feel he is the stronger natural middle, he could be right ?
Both guys are extremely Dangerous...i just think Nigel will know what he is up against with Julien, But Julien will not alway know what Nigel is going to do Next.

At 160 and Benn being pre 1991, I would take Jackson to take him out in the first couple of rounds.
The more mature 168lbs Benn would give Jackson the respect he deserves and win in about 10, probably on eye damage.

Benn would brutally KO Jackson, Nigelīs chin was pretty good and underrated, especially at 160 lbs, Julian, a natural LMW wouldnīt have a chance IMO here, I predict a brutal midround KO from Benn...

Benn's chin was on the soft side. Watson was no puncher, but he got the job done, Journeyman Logan had Benn all over the place at 160lbs. And at 168lbs career featherfist Galvano had Benn out on his feet at the end of the second fight.
Benn's totally reckless style at 160lbs would cost him big time against Jackson IMO.

IMO Jackson showed at 160 lbs a much worse chin than Benn. Nigel was a big SMW, Jackson came from LMW, I donīt know, for me Benn would be the clear favourite...

At 168lbs Benn walks it; at 160 Benn was a novice face first puncher with a soft chin. At 160 Jackson was an experienced face first power puncher with a bum eye, but with a reasonable chin all the way up to McClellanI. Jackson of 89/90 beats Benn of 89/90 IMO.

It seems to be that you totally overrate Jackson. At 160 lbs during his title reign he never faced anyone nearly as good as a puncher like Benn, Nigel was sometimes KD because of his style, but Julian was KOīd by Taylor for example (who was a pretty good puncher, but not in the league of a Benn)...

Taylor? My goodness that is like throwing in Ali could not beat Williams (Carl 'The Truth'), because he could not beat Berbick. Jackson had a best before date of 1992, that fight was what 95?
Jackson always beats Benn at 160lbs IMO. Why? Because both were devastating punchers who suffered crushing defeats (Jackson/McCallum; Benn/Watson), but the difference being Jackson learnt from his defeat and peaked in the couple of years after the McCallum fight; Benn though learnt little, and it was not until he lost again (against Eubank) that he got smart and started to box a bit as well.
Benn was a 168lber by then, he never learnt his lesson at 160lbs; Jackson learnt his 154 and peaked then slightly dipped because of bum eye moving up to 160. But for the fight to happen at 160, it would of had to of been in 89/90, thus Jackson would have the advantages.
