Just got back from a great nights entertainment at Prizefighter the Light Welterweights.

All the press reports so far talk about every bout in detail up to the final and then just mention that Rees won the final.

That Final was awesome!!!

The second round was one of the best tear ups I've seen in ages. Not stop action with Rees more than happy to go to war with Colin Lynes. This is not to say that the other two rounds weren't good because they were. But that second round was awesome! Reminded me somewhat (now you must forgive me as I have not watched the fight back yet and I had had a few shandy's) of the Earl vs Katsidis fight. Both guys just winging in on each other.

Very impressed with Lynes's left hand througout the whole night.

Ree's looked a class apart however!

I suspected that if the real Rees turned up he would win. (I did predict the Rees victory on a thread yesterday).

What the F**k is up with the sky pundits?

They each picked who they thought would win and who they thought could win.

Not one of the four pundits picked Rees in either column.

Piper I am sorely dissapointed in you!

McCrory no less than I expected!

Watt after recent commentary on Haye probably thought Valuev was gonna win the light welterweight Prizefighter!

And Nelson need I say more!

Who did they all pick as who would win it? Barnes

He lost in the first round.

Props to the Sky boys:happy

In fairness mate a lot of people picked Barnes not just sky pundits. I thought it would be between Barnes and Lynes and then they got drawn against each other in the first round.

Congratulations to Rees though, very nice nights work from him.

Some of the first round 'fights' were awful, especially Lynes vs Barnes. Hold, hold, hold :zzz

Would have been nice if Barrie Jones had tried as well, not just 'cos I had money on him beating Mutley, he was pathetic.

The semis and final especially were very goodn however.

Still not convinced they have the format right, but it seems to bring the punters in.

I also had a sneaky ten on Jones even though I thought Rees would win. ?He just never got going.

I actually though Barnes edged the Lynes fight but hey ho I was supporting Lynes in that one anyways.
