The fact remains, if it 100% wasn't Healy, it was somebody that does have administrative/moderator access. It wasn't a ghost. It didn't settle itself. Bart didn't hack vbookie and settle it. Maybe someone (with admin/mod access) who saw that the bet wasn't settled and got antsy and acted rashly without knowing much about how the vbookie system works.

There is a way to get everybody their cash, it's just incredibly time consuming and you need to coordinate with each individual bettor by PM (the bookie needs to be online at the same time as the poster so they can rig the event to pay out without interference). I simply don't have time at work, even trying would probably get me fired. Posting here all day is one thing but dedicating my time to watching the "Who's Online" list all day to pounce on opportunities to settle with each of the 44 bets would be impossible.

Whoever did it needs to take accountability and bite the bullet either way (either fix it, or take the heat for not doing so).

If it really is some kind of system glitch (ie nobody it could possibly have been did it), then maybe we should just split the labor (44 bets, 4 bookies, we each take eleven). It would still take days.

why dont you start naming more names then...I'm sure if you call out a mod they will be more then happy to look into it or answer....but just looking at the bets I can see that 2 of them bet and they both were on the losing side of things.....so they would have no reason to settle the bets. So that leaves 2 other mods that have never posted in here and Rosstheboss.....which I doubt they would have any reason to settle the bets out. So that just leaves you or a software glitch...in any event I think this is pretty well screwed up....shit if there is going to be a error you think it could just pay out everyone so everyone ends up happy. ;) ...O well.

Well, the event line that people missed out on was this one:

So we just create an event thread in non-boxing that looks like this:

"Outcome....................................Odds......Bets..Total
Come get paid all ye merry losers 13/8 (1.62) 44 10218 "

So everything will be exactly the same. Everyone will have to bet exactly what they put on this to begin with. So if you wagered $120 but it was in the form an $80 bet and two $20 bets; you should again do an $80 bet and two $20 bets instead of just one $120 bet...just to make it easier on the eyes so that everything will look the same. Then once everything matches up, and the names and amounts of the bettors/bets match up with the original event, and provided that NOBODY else interferes and tries to sneak in a bet (the new event will be ABANDONED and re-started if any monkey business is detected, so none of you seedy sons of bitches even think about it, you'll just be wasting your time and everybody else's).

The tricky part is, knowing who the hell bet what. I thought vbookie was set up so that everybody could look at the betting history of any open/closed/settled event. Last time I tried to look up the history on this one, though - viewing "Settled" events wasn't an option in the drop-down list for me anymore. Not sure if the admins downgraded my bookie access? Or maybe it was always that only the creator of an event can review its history once settled?

Hopefully it's the latter - if so Healy can look up the information, post it in the therad (who bet what) and we can begin sending out PMs to everybody to bet in the thread (and I mean it - if any wiseguys try to sneak a bet in, WE WILL KNOW - as everything will have to add up to 44 bets, for a total of 10218 vbucks before we settle it).

Easier than trying to hash out 44 individual rigs, anyway. :conf

I noticed when I looked at one of the few "open" events that I do still have access to (Sosnowski-Vidoz) that according to the URL it was event #31, so putting 2+2 together, I began to plug in lower numbers, 30, 29 et cetera until :)

Since I bet 200, 200 x 1.62=324
So I'd make an event just for me with the odds 524/1 (200 vCash bet and the 324 pay out). Only works if the bettor places just a 1 bet and no other asshole bets on it.

If anybody misses the boat; hey it will have been at most a $100 bet assuming you were tied with Siren1927 and safe_pa for the #20 highest bet - so we're talking about losing out on $162 in winnings, not the end of the world. Sorry, but if you don't speak up you don't get paid.

The important thing is that those who should have won big - like Nemesis - get their due. Losses of <100 bets at 13/8, I can live with that on my conscience (nevermind that neither this event nor the mysterious settling of it had a thing to do with me).
