My experience is that blood doping and boxing don't mix. It might make one bleed, like an anticoagulant or could wreck your blood sugar levels.

Why would you blood dope in the first place?
Doping is equivalent taking steroids in my opinion. It's for losers.
And I'm not saying that your doing it yourself, I'm just saying it in general to those who do it.
As for if it acts as a anticoagulant when your bleed, I don't know. Either way I wouldn't take the chance.

hmmm, do they use blood doping in boxing? i always thought that was more to do with sprinting. It allows more blood cells to carry oxygen to the muscles, thus delaying the lactic acid to start cramping.

Nah, I dont think its ever been done in boxing. At least I've never heard it being done. But if you are caught you probably will have your license taken.

Blood doping drugs like EPO increase the volume of the blood and its ability to carry oxygen as a result. It does not affect the platelets within the blood or its ability to coagulate once exposed to air.
