I am watching the Countdown to Taylor / Pavlik on " on demand HBO "
It was just said that eveyone who has trained there under Seward, have never lost that fight...Taylor is there now. everyone doing their training where taylor is doing his, have not lost their fight.
Advantage: Taylor :yikes

That statement definitely caught my attention, but this fight is not going to be one based on who is training where. It is going to be one in the ring, and it is in the ring where I think Pavlik will win this and end that perfect correlation between training in the Poconos under Stewart and winning.

The one thing i see wrong with Pavlik, and it's the only one, is that he is not difficult to hit.
Taylor has fast hands, and Kelly may just get taggeed alot:patsch

The weight in could be quite revealing; if Taylor looks super fit and focused will any Pavlik supporters start to doubt their Pavlik KO Taylor predictions?

I might be wrong in predicting Pavlik by TKO, but I sure as sam hell won't flip flop- too stubborn. I'll give Taylor all the credit in the world if he wins, though.

It's possible...to be honest, I think Jermain has more of a chance to hurt Pavlik than Miranda did. Jermain throws crisper, faster shots than Miranda and although they carry less power, they come from more angles and because of their greater speed, they could catch Pavlik when he doesn't expect it. It's the punches you don't see coming that hurt.

It has nothing to do with the Poconos and everything to do with the fighter. JT may start the fight with "good intentions", but I guarantee he ends not listening to Manny and doing his own thing. It is what he does best.

that he does. another interesting thing that manny said was that jermain looks to him to be in the best shape out of any of his fighters. Now we do know manny tends to hype up things a bit, but JT did look in excellent shape. He should prolly train in the poconos for all his fights from now on.

I tend not to believe most of the hype surrounding how great a guys training camp is. Going into a big fight, every camp always raves how it was the best camp ever, their fighter is in the best shape he's ever been in, blah blah.

yeah but taylor seems like the person who would get distracted by having a camp that was not in the middle of nowhere. I think he needs a place like that. Even in the countdown the fucking radio dj was talking shit on jermain and you could tell it got to him. Jermain was like - 'Ill never talk to him again if i win.' that isolationism would do him some good.

He said it on a Maxboxing video interview (making the weight easy after being questioned about fighing the winner of Kessler - JC). He is at a 165 pounds for about 3 weeks (on wednesday he was at a healthy 163 pounds).

I think if Jermain wins he goes for winner of kessler/calzaghe and after that maybe dawson or hopkins.
