McCLines best chance at a title was against Valuev - i felt so bad for the guy when he twisted his knee. He actually didnt look half bad in that fight

I'd be quite shocked if McCline won but IF he did (and the "if's" are fun to think about) then I think Sam's stock sinks a bit. Losing to Wlad is one thing, but "Big Time" McCline? That'll leave a mark even if Sam came back to beat him twice.
But I don't think McCline will win. But best of luck.
If McCline beats Peter, then Peter has simply been exposed....and McCline will lose his first mandatory defense (if he reaches that point, big if).
I would not be surprised if McCline wins. He is a good fighter.

A McCline victory may not mean much to a lot of people but for one Evander Holyfield it can be very significant. If Holyfield beats Ibragimov he'll fight McCline right away. 2 American heavyweights (one of which being an ATG) trying to unify would be an easy sell.
Improbable scenarios. Holyfield's chances of winning his fight are better. I don't think we'll be seeing any more of Maskaev. Even if he does come back he'll most likely have to face Sam Peter and we all know that he doesn't want to do that.

I'm picking McCline to win, if no reason but that I hate that overrated free swinging gorilla named Peter.
Why the animosity towards Peter?
