View Full Version : Tito will KO Jones!!!!

These are two of my favorite fighters of all time, and its going to be sad to see one of them go out like this. Years ago Jones would have absolutely murdered and embarassed him, but unfortunately, this year Jones is the one thats going to be badly beaten. Tito is still young, and I think he was just made to look farther past it then he is by Wrights gameplan and brilliant defense. Wright was the worst possible matchup for Tito.

Roy lays on the ropes way too much nowadays and has a very suspect chin at this stage of his career. When he's in the center of the ring he will get off first because he still has his speed, but Tito will push him back and force him to fight off the ropes, a fight that will be welcomed by the suddenly lazy and lethargic version of Roy JOnes. Watch the Glenn Johnson fight and then bet your ass that this will be a repeat. Tito is still a step up from the competition Jones has been facing. He has power, he has heart and he has a relentless fighting style. Jones to lose another by KO.....to a former Welterweight. :deal :deal :deal

These guys are so shot, I dont know if I even want to see it. at this points its probably a pickem fight. A win for either fighter means absolutely nothing. Leave it to Don King to dig up some old carcases and throw them in the ring to make a buck. Maybe he can put Gerald Mclellan and Meldrick Taylor on the undercard, and Tyson in a prefight exhibition. :good

Jones Jr UD12 Trinidad

Glen Johnson is much better and much more proven than Trinidad at this weight.

This fight is about who's most past it, whoever loses is well and truely done for.

I think a loss here is worse for Jones - especially a KO loss

Unlike Roy, Tito gets up when he's knocked down. So who has the weaker chin???

SteveO

It will be over 2 and 1/2 years since his last fight when Tito fights Jones so Tito will definitely be rusty (unless he fights a tune-up between now and then) but maybe he's been staying in shape and sparring etc so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

With Jones suffering some bad KO losses, I can't help but feel that he's lost something and the effects may continue to mount at this point if he's been damaged.

Since he has been staying active, I'm giving Jones the edge since I've been able to see what he can do. But it is boxing, so never count the other guy out completely.

I actually feel that Tito matches up quite well against Jones at this stage of their careers. He'll push Jones back against the ropes and land straight rights - it could be another KO loss for Jones.

If Jones lasts the distance he could still lose as Tito is likely to throw (and possibly land) more punches in this fight.

Or maybe Jones it too strong and will land a perfect punch that KOs Tito.

I actually find this one quite hard to predict!

jones is the bigger and naturally stronger man and light yrs faster then tito.jones by ko in about 8 rds or tito daddy will stop it.i dont see tito beating jones at all.im trying to picture it but i cant, jones is just to big and i feel tito would be even slower at that weight.

jones might be drained fighting at that weight but i just cant FATHOM a loss to tito at this point or EVER in that matter.

i wonder whats next for jones after this fight, maybe a hopkins fight or joe.

Get your head out of RJJ's rectum, you are making the Oscarsexuals look normal.

Trinidad TKO RJJ round 9 via mercy stoppage on the ropes.

I, Jack see a vision. In this vision, RJJ makes his way to the ring, wearing a Britney Spears mic, and rapping about chickens. Then, the Return of the King, Tito Trinidad coming out wearing a peasant's hat, much the way he did in 1999 when he defeated Oscar. The first 4 rounds, look like Trinidad-DLH, with RJJ scoring points, in the 5th, Tito lands a hook to his jaw that stuns and even staggers RJJ and he goes into a shell, covering up on the ropes the way he did against Glenncoffe, until the ninth, when another left hook staggers him, and the ref stops it as Tito is going for the kill, and RJJ looks like a Rooster fighting a Puerto Rican Rotweiller.

Exactly.

The fight is rather meaningless.

Both guys too far gone.

While it won't be a meaningful fight, it could be a good one. Gatti/Ward trilogy was pretty good. Neither guy was top level but they were well matched.

This one doesn't merit ppv.

Yup. Tito hits harder then Tarver or Johnson.

There is no proof of that. Tarver and Johnson are big strong light heavyweights. Tito hasn't fought above 160.

Tito is too shot, too slow, and way too fat at this weight:yep

Roy Jones Wins 1st Round K.O

Roy Jones is like Magic Johnson, he still has the magic. He can still do things inside the ring that no fighter can do in the world, on a skill level. None, there is none, with the speed or technique like Roy Jones Junior. He still show's flashes of magic like in his last fight, but he needs to sustain that magic, consistent throughout the fight.

Roy Jones can box and out mover Felix Trinidad, very easy.

I believe Roy Jones hits harder, with both hands, and it is going to be a first round knockout, a magic left hook. Juts like Mike Tyson, his skills may have decreased as his career got older, but he always had that magic.

most of the time the man who is natural at that weight will be bigger and stronger then a guy moving up to that weight.id say 9 times out of 10 maybe 8.as far as speed you got to be joking right :huh, when was the last fighter you seen a faster puncher then roy jones jr, he could be 50 and still be faster then most, come on man we are talking about rjj YOU MUST HAVE FORGOT,HELL YOU MIGHT NOT EVEN NO IN THE 1ST PLACE .

Trinidad took killer shots from the bigger Hopkins for 12 rounds and still got up, although wobbly. Jones went down from the Tarver hook as if he had been shot with a Glock, and when Glenncoffe hit him, he shit hisself, and was down for an hour, with paramedics giving him oxygen.

Im pretty sure Jones hits harder than Hopkins, but I don't think Tito hits harder than Johnson or Tarver.

Yeah. As the Paramedics were defibrillating Roy's unconscious ass after Glencoffe laid the fucking hammer down, I was thinking about how skilled he was.

Yep.

He got KTFO, twice.

After he was shot.

In his prime, you know, and I know, that he would have toyed with the Johnsons and Tarvers like he did with prime Toney.

I think I could probably beat Ali at this point in both our careers.

What the fuck would that prove?

I havent even read the whole thread, but this begs a response.

tito never took the best that either glen johnson or antonio tarver had. comparing chins in this one is silly.

roy took hits from hopkins, toney and ruiz. tito has taken the best from oscar, vargas and winky (and hopkins). who really, REALLY fares better in this contest?

roy, ko 8, if tito is lucky
