You have to think if Thompson gets his shot against Ibragimov, he has a serious chance based on his size alone.

Thompson is a full inch taller and a better boxer than Austin, who gave Sultan problems, even if SI was out of shape for that fight.

Nice to see Thompson staying active until he gets that mandatory shot against Ibragimov or Holyfield.

Barrett must be really shot...

Is the winner of Ibragimov/Holyfield obrigated to fight the Tiger next? Or can Wlad get in the way?

I was hoping they might offer Thompson the shot against Peter since he was fighting so close to the October 6th date

Has it been said when the Sultan/Evander winner has to give Thompson a title shot by? Normally they only have 90 days.

This fight was a great move for Thompson he stays sharp and got another big KO.

I wouldn't worry about that because Sultan likey won't fight him anyway.

When i watch Thompson there is nothing that really impresses me yet at the same time i think he would be a tough fight for any of the champs

He is like the type of latter day Jimmy Young..

He never strikes fear into any of the heavyweights, but will always give top heavyweights competetive fights.....

He could end up becoming champ somewhere along the line..Heavyweight is a land of opportunity these days..
