View Full Version : Wayne Alexander- Who hit harder (Brit P4P)?
Bumped into this guy a couple of times in the last month which prompted me to go back and re-watch a couple of his fights.
Was always one of my favourite fighters to watch as you (and his opponent) knew that at any given moment he could render his man unconcious.
A good example is Takaloo. Takaloo has him hurt with a body shot and moves in for the kill. Big mistake, the ref doesn't even bothor with the count. He just roles him onto his side and gets the paramedics in there!
What an exciting fighter and certainly up there with Hamed as one of the hardest punching (p4p) brits to ever lace up gloves.
Nice bloke to chat to as well and gave a lot of his time to talk to a pissed me at Bunce Live.
Bunce described him as 'hit or be hit' which I think is what made him exciting.
Long live Alexander The Great!!!

In terms of fighters that banged out domestic level talent he must be the best.
But there are others who knocked out better fighters in similarly destructive fashion.
I have no hesitation in rating Hamed as the hardest British puncher P4P

Yeah I've always felt that Hamed p4p was the hardest hitter. But Wayne has gotta be right up there.

Darren Dyer could bang, but the only ones comparible at his level were Ensley Bingham and perhaps Crawford Ashley.

I agree with crawford ashley.
Ashley could really dig...I remember seeing him poleaxe some Spaniard when he went for the euro LH strap in the mid/late 90's.

True but still think p4p the likes of Naz and Barret had more bang for the buck.

Honoured by your pressence.

P4P I reckon Hamed even out banged Benn.

Yes I have always thought he was a monster at 160. Did not quite have the same super dynamite at 168.

Yeah, a lot of the people he fought at 168 were massive at the weight as well. Eubank could have been a cruiser no problem

Also because he made a conscious decision to refine his style and depend less on his power.

Adrian Dodson could swat. Not too resilient if it was coming the other way like.
Still rembering him biting that blokes belly, was it a french geezer?
