It's obvious that he is, but I wanted to give his detractors a fair chance to voice their opinions before he cleans out the heavyweight division.

Bergeron is probably the most athletic and most technically sound heavyweight I've ever seen. His combinations flow so smoothly, his punches make George Foreman's sound tiny in comparison, and his defense is reminiscent of Nicolino Locche.
Good luck to him, but Valuev should win this fight without too much trouble.

bergeron isnt the greatest
Surely you are being sarcastic? :huh
I mean, just look at brooklyn's masterful stylistic breakdown of Bergeron. Athleticism, combinations, a muppet-like face...he has it all.

Yes, I do....
Bergeron is also a very smart individual outside of the ring - right up there with Newton, Einstein, Confucious, and Aristotle. He has heard people say, "you don't know what a fighter is made out of until he suffers a loss." He's going to lose this fight on purpose and then continue to dominate the division, just to show people that he can take a loss and come back even stronger.

He is a cunning man, that Bergeron.
Yet another reason why he has dominated the division for so long.

Bergeon has beaten a litany of top notch fighters. The only reason they're considered nobodies is because he dominated them.
It's just like Roy Jones said, "It's not that I fought nobody, I just made them look like nobody."

Why the question mark? I am so glad the most attractive most fun to watch forever undefeated HW of the world finally came to Germany.
He is so feared that they could not find a real opponent - so they feed him with an unknown and unnamed russki who thinks he is invited to a drinking bout this Sat.

Surely the only fight worth having on the heavyweight landscape right now is Bergeron-Ruiz. After Valuev falls and Bergeron unifies the title, these two timeless champions must surely partake in a 5 fight series around the globe that will bring boxing back to the masses. Viva la Bergeron. I humbly request a Bergeron Avatar.

How dare you mock the exploits of boxings best kept secret. You have shown yourself to be fans with little understanding of the sweet science. Bergeron has been held back by the alphabet organisations who continually refuse to give him a ranking in the knowledge of the devastation he would cause accross the heavyweight scene. Apart from Ruiz. He may be the only one who could last the distance.
In years to come people will ask, 'Were you on the Bergeron express?'.
I will hold my head high and tell my grandchildren yes, yes I was.

It's a well known fact that the alphabet belts don't rank him in order to protect their fighters. Not protect their fighters' resumes...protect their fighters. This will continue until the laws against homicide are repealed.

Although I haven't heard his paticular name said before the general way to pronounce that last name is:
Burr (sound you make when cold or thing that gets stuck in you)
zhuh (I'm having a hard time writing it phonemically, the best way I could think of saying it would be if you know how to say the name of the Zsa Zsa Gabor, imagine if her first name ended in a "uh")
Ron (like the man's name)
burr-zhuh-RON
