Mundines that good he will take down Medley inside 5 rounds and have enough left to drop Geale with one punch when he jumps in the ring for a rematch challenge :yep

Question for Luds and Ashley:

Apart from you two, how many Mundine believers do you really think are out there?

Not counting of course, the bludgers that hang off Choc whispering sweet nothings in his ear for free tickets.

An answer from either or both.

I'm sure hes lost some supporters......but he still has his PPV power. Some people in the know said Geale v Mundine was the second highest PPV ever in AUST second to Mundine v Green.......I dont know if Grenn v RJJ has has gone to the top of the list or not.

Medley v Mundine will also do very well on PPV and Medley has a red hot chance because of the weight issue :deal

Mate 1 thing you need to know is Mundine has lots of closet fans who will come out again when he takes on the big fights.......I could shame...I mean name 7 guys from aussie ESB but I wont :yep

How can you tell if hes faded if he's wining by a comfortable margin then he gets the ko?

One would think he's not faded at all if he stops Medley in a shutout fashon.

Medleys paying $4.60 i think.might put a lazy $20 on to win 70 or more likely lose 20.the weight drop may come into play hopefully.

Mudine kills him at SMW....beats him on wide points MW.....however a close points fight at JM.... I dont think that will be an indication that hes faded due to weight loss factor.

Mundine will never again fight someone who has a real chance of beating him - he got a fright vs Geale...

The fact that he moved down to 160 when Kessler became his mandatory and has now dropped the MW belt and moved down to 154 to avoid a rematch with Geale is proof of this, as is his pathetic string of opponents since the second Soliman fight.

In fact, look at who he's fought since losing to Kessler - apart from Green and Soliman 2, and Geale at MW, it has been absolute rubbish:

Matumla
Chong Nee
Acosta
Nievas
Clavero
Hamdan - shot
Soliman - unnecessary
Kim
Pintos
Taylor - shot
Falliga

That's what he's done in 4 years

Ignoring the fact that you so readily dismiss the likes of hamden and taylor as shot you would be hard pushed to find another elite boxer who stays as busy as mundine so you can forgive him the lesser opponents as they are interspersed with decent ones and him fighting is better than him being idle like a ricky hatton.

you've got mundine getting a 154lb belt in jan, a date at 168lbs with the contender winner, a shot at sturm when he decides to leave germany and fight fair at 160lb and then you got geale at 160lb or green at 175lb + rematch to round off 2010.

Also if geale gets a recognised belt at 160lb (no offence ibo) you better believe the rematch is on just for 10x the money (for those that haven't noticed BOXING IS A BUSINESS:deal)

Absolute rubbish.

You explain to me how Hamden or Taylor weren't past their best when Mundine fought them...and the ridiculous thing is that both of them went the distance with Mundine, even at that late stage of their careers.

Mundine isn't 'elite', and how you can even attempt to compare his activity to Hatton's is beyond me. You might as well try to compare him to Mayweather and Pacquaio too

'Interspersed' with decent opponents? Who? I already stated 'apart from Green and Soliman 2' - who are you talking about that is decent in the list of fighters he's faced in the last 4 years?

you've got mundine getting a 154lb belt in jan, a date at 168lbs with the contender winner, a shot at sturm when he decides to leave germany and fight fair at 160lb and then you got geale at 160lb or green at 175lb + rematch to round off 2010.

Stop celebrating mediocrity - if he's willing to go back to 168 to face the Contender finalist, why didn't he just stay there and face his mandatory at SMW in Kessler?

If he's going to go back to 160 to rematch Geale, why didn't he just stay there and rematch him instead of moving down to 154 for another trinket against mediocre opposition? You say that the IBO MW belt isn't a recognised belt, but the IBO JMW one is? :hey Is that why he's moving down to 154 to fight Medley for it?

Oh, that's right, BOXING IS A BUSINESS  Man, you're as full of shit as he is. If he'd had the sack to rematch Kessler he might now be in the SMW tourney, which has plenty of money involved.

Good luck to you buddy, just don't hold your breath waiting for him to do all this, because he made exactly the same promises for 2004 and 2008, the only things that have changed is the year and the names of the opponents he reckons he's going to fight.

The only thing that amazes me about Mundine is how many people like you are still breathing life into his farce of a career by following him.

The only thing that amazes me about Mundine is how many people like you are still breathing life into his farce of a career by following him.

I think hamden only got stopped by abraham who is a pretty brutal puncher so going the distance with the man was not a shock, tbh i know less about taylor although i know he fought at a pretty decent level and it was chocs first fight below super middle.

Regardless of your (seemingly popular) opinion that mundine is not elite, he is an ex wba super middleweight world champ, Australian champ, ibo middleweight champ and soon to be ibo junior middle champ which in terms of all the boxers out there is pretty good going.

The comparison to hatton was making the point that mundine stays in shape and stays active all year round rather than getting fat and having one fight every 8 or 9 months, you cant expect him to fight world level fighters 4 times a year. I think an ibo title fight against geale then a tune up against falliga then an ibo title fight against medley is alright going within 12 months.

I wasnt trying to take away from the ibo belts but im saying if geale gets his hands on one of the four main belts the rematch becomes bigger, and beating geale would = more money and world recognition that was my point, the green rematch grows with each legend danny beats and each belt choc gets more money etc The contender is free publicity and easy money.

As for kessler he probably knew hed get beat again and his stock would fall which is a shame cos he has the tools to do what ward did. The super six is not the cash cow you make it out to be bute is makin more £££ than the likes of froch etc who are locked in to shit contracts for the size of the fights that are taking place.

Anyway you gotta get behind your favourite fighters :deal, also i reckon mundine smokes sturm anywhere outside of germany.

Hey 20a87,go easy on BRUBOY,if you say you like mundine to him,he will get all emotional and wet the bed, and pm his friends on esb to call for you to leave.
Then he will swear and call you a c$%t.
Then he will make up a nasty nickname:|:| for you and also try and guess if you were here before posting under another name.:rofl:rofl:rofl.
Then he will say danny has been is the best fighter and he can smash mundine at lhw, then he will say you know nothing about boxing......
Actually make that SHE will.:hi::hi::hi:

A few blokes reckon Green would smash Mundine @ L / heavy , do you think Mundine will still be game for it post the destruction of RJJ ?

Shit yeah.......Mundine wants green more than ever now after his big win :deal

Provided Green dont get smashed by B Hop early next year

Anyway Mundine is 100% ready for Medley and not looking at other fights.....when hes stopped Medley then he will let everybody know hes ready for Green again :yep

However when Mundine shows how strong he is at 154 he may just stay there for another big fight.....maybe Foreman....then we can watch Marcus shit himself

Seeing the apple cart tipped over... Imagine that.. Mundine will fall into a supporters abyss should he fail against Medley (fingers crossed). Hopefully Grange have the same non-commital return clause in the Medley/Mundine contract as Mundine had vs Geale..

If a fighters needs to grow an unbiast fan base, all he needs to do is fight Mundine....

Well, if Green tackles BHop its a fair call to say he's fighting oldies. RJJ and Bhop are still opponents names that will keep Greens name respected 30 years from now. In the same token, 30 years from now, if Mundines name is mentioned out 'loud' there will be Yellow Cabs at the door step. :tong

Josey mundine beats green at any weight.
He schooled him at 76.35,add 2 kilos or take 2 kilos away,it makes no difference.
Mundines speed, defense and footwork are way ahead of greens 2 step robot attack.
It would be another points decision to choc.
Im not taking anything out of the rjj fight, just the same if mundine k.o"d rjj in 122 seconds it doesnt say much other than poor roy is gone.:good

You see Luds you dickhead, that's where this argument is wrong, Mundine didn't, nor would, nor never will. He doesn't fight quality opponents such as RJJ.

Kessler - yes, Mandy has fought before, but he's ran like a cat ever since. And now running now down to 154lbs, far, far away from anyone on a world-stage!!
