Name a fighter you strongly believe that never used Roids or illegal substances in their entire career and give your opinion why. Was it their phsyique that led you to believe this?... or maybe you think they were too talented naturally to need them or what...
This excludes fighters pre 1960s. I would encourage to using fighters 80s til current to make this thread a bit more entertaining since we know illegal substances have been known to be used more recently, especially since the 1990s.
----
For me, first boxers that come to mind are...
Mayweather Jr - His skills and potential was obvious from when he was still very young... he hasnt changed much. His conditioning comes from hard training and genetics. His strenght appears to be average in his natural weight class.
De la hoya - His decline has been very natural. He was much faster and successful at lower weight when he was more active in boxing & when he was the bigger man, and he has declined as he has fought less and less & as he has aged.

Butterbean.
I find it odd that somebody as small as a non-heavyweight would take anabolic steroids. It could push them over their weight limit.

Steroids could also help them to reach another weight class

Mayweather Jr., Hopkins, Calzaghe, and either/both of the Marquez bros.
None of these guys need an extra "edge" to get their wins -- they're skill-set says to me that they don't need it.

Now a days, it is impossible to point out a boxer or an ahtlete and say: He is clean...hell to much money involved....the temptations are incredible, every one wants an edge to get them to the top, and break the bank.....
The ones that come to mind are the smaller weight classes.... since they have to stay in shape to make weight at the smaller weight classes..Calderon, Solis , Mijares, Donaire, Darchynian....up to about the Marquez and Vazquez...from there on you don' know..the margin increases for potential enhancements...

I doubt any strawweights use performance enhancers.
Has any strawweight been caught doping?

I would assume that any fighter that hasn't tested possitive is clean.
I would bet on any of them that has never tested possitive. Until evidence show that HGH or steroid use is in fact wide spread in boxing.

Do you use that same yardstick for pro cyclists or atheletics????:huh

I will venture to say that less that 40% of todays athletes are clean...and 40% might be to big.......it might be 25%...at this point...Money Money Money..that's what doping will bring and that's why the labs get clever and clever disguising the dope....

there are rumors going around that a unnamed strawweight once ate a big mac and turned into a flyweight overnight

yeah your right when he was much younger he could go for 3 minutes of every round for 12 rounds. But it seemed like he hit a point in his late twenties where he couldn't. Its to bad too because honestly other then the Hopkins fight pretty much all his loses have come from gasing out. He probably could have been one of the top 20 all time.

So is Hopkins, but he is mentioned.....lots of fighters are dirty in "that" way.
But I don't think he used anything.
Wright is who I had there, but deleted it. Complains alot....kinda annoys me.

Something I didn't know actually...I don't know anything about his personal life. Just looked up records and video. I rescind him on that info....and I'll stick Mike McCallum in his place.

I wouldn't bet on anyone. There are so many forms of enhancers today, not just anabolic steroids - some even legal that are borderliners.
If boxing had more tests, I bet many would be surprised by the results.

So who is not clean? I don't know of any boxer being banned because of doping. I'm talking about those with name recognition. Cycling is a totally different animal though. Btw, a small body doesn't mean that a person doesn't use droids. Just look at the cyclists' bodies.
I think the thread would have been more interesting if the topic is who fights clean? Meaning no low blows, no headbutts, etc.

Interesting to see that Floyd's name was mentioned the most out of all the other boxers, despite people disliking him as much as they do. Which makes some sort of a statement... if he is as good as they say he is in this era, not bad for doing it naturally. Im personally not a fan of his, because he is simply not exciting to watch. Another guy mentioned frequently was Hopkins and I find his fights more boring to watch then Floyds... and I really dont like his style.
Guys I prefer or used to like to watch are: Tyson, Holyfield, Roy Jones Jr, Shane Mosley. These were guys that at one point or another seemed to have "Super Powers" in the ring... unfortunately, 3 out of the 4 doped (even though they supposedly didnt know anything about what they were taking)... Tyson, Im not sure he doped, because he seemed as fast and strong in his teens.

Do you use that same yardstick for pro cyclists or atheletics????:huhSpeaking as a person that has had false accusations made against him, and speaking as a person that understands how the media will exaggerate a news story. I would hesitate to all of a sudden start a witch hunt on every athlete that ever gained weight or performed well in his or her sport.
As far as I'm concerned no one is guilty of doping until they have been shown to be guilty o doping.
The media and Balco together can do more harm to professional sports than doping it's self ever have.

2 of the 3 crimes he did commit..
I still think he was fucked up by shagging a money hungry broad who assumed shagging tyson would lead to them being together..
Instead he fucked her brains out than shot off to shag more broads, leaving the young beauty queen to feel used and abused(or raped in her stupid mind).
Seems pretty funny how the chick didnt have too much of a problem with mike getting only 3years in jail..
Oh shit she got tens of millions of dollars didnt she???
How strange that other rape victims get next to no compensation and are never as open to tell their story of the event that ruined their life..
Fuck the juror were a bunch of dopes...

Tyson used recreation drugs but not sure about performance enhancing..
I recently read that tyson has pleady quilty to possession of coke and driving under the influence..
Apparently he admitted to being addicted..
I feel for this tromented soul..
I honestly think he will either die or kill himself soon...
