Some things I picked up from this:

So, although Pavlik is a volume fighter, it is possible we won't quite be seeing the same kind of output from him. If he doesn't throw 80+ punches a round, he could be in for a long night. With that said, he has averaged 83 punches thrown and 28 landed in his last five fights, and he has faced punchers. If flush shots from Miranda didn't slow him down, why would Taylor?

Taylor isn't a volume puncher, even against people who don't have any power. If he doesn't slow Pavlik down early on, he could be in for a short night. The last time Taylor faced anyone with any sort of power (BHop), he threw an average of only 33 punches per round. We can't take this at face value though, since it was a strategic match.

I think that this is one fight that can't be predicted by looking at the past. There are too many unknowns and too many variables. The only thing that is pretty much guaranteed is that it will be entertaining.

50/50 fight on what ever angle you look at it. It's a matter on who dictates the tempo of the fight . . . it boils down to heart and mindset.

Well I'm rooting for Taylor man . . . raw skill level or not, we cannot be ABSOLUTE that one fighter is above the other.

I think this is a fight that all depends on Pavliks chin. If Taylor's shots don't do enough damage to Pavlik, I think Pavlik wears Taylor down and stops him.

I see it as 60- 40 for taylor but Pavlic has good chance

I don't expect Pavlik to have the same output as he has had in recent fights though I do expect him to win.

Ouma is a 154 pounder who could make 147!!!

Pavlik is not only bigger, stronger and more powerful than Ouma, he is bigger, stronger and more powerful than Taylor.

Taylors neutraliser is speed. Pavlik is simply not fast. He is going to need to use size to cut down the ring quicker and reach (timing and output too) to try and neutralise Taylors speed.

If Taylor has him playing catch up all night then Kelly is stuck in the same manner Lacy was with Calzaghe and Corrales with Floyd.

Now Taylor ain't no Calzaghe or Floyd so Kelly may put it on him pronto. However Kelly has to go in with the mentality he is playing catch up. This means RIPPING the shit out of Taylors body, cutting the ring down, muscling him in etc

For 4 rounds most boxers can go full speed i.e. amateurs. For 8 rounds you still can't define yourself but the last 4 rounds is when the tables can REALLY turn. All that work you've put into the body, all those lighter punches you've let rip on the inside, all the muscling you did finally takes it toll!
