seems like Nick doesn't know what will come his way on the 30th when he fight Zaromskis, he's talking about Sakurai and Cung Le when Zaromskis is determined to take his head off. Zaromskis must be liking Nick's mindset on this fight because it's all the same with his opponents he fought in the DREAM GP. If Nick will do a Frank/Smith tactic on this fight, Zaromskis will likely outspeed and outstrike him. I don't think Nick will be able to take Zaromskis down cause Jason High who's a good wrestler can't take Marius down.

I only just realised this fight is happening yesterday. Not long ago I was thinking what happened to Zaromskis. They signed him and I was excited but then nothing.
Zaromskis fights like an animal. His striking is dynamic, explosive and devastating. Diaz shouldn't sleep on this guy.

I think Diaz should try a different gameplan in this fight. Instead of staying in that boxing mode where he just throws and throws to wear guys out he has to use that alittle to get inside and clinch with Zaromskis. From there look to wear down Zaromskis we know Diaz has great cardio does Zaromskis ? Hit some throws since Diaz does have some decent Judo skills and work his ground game. I dont know what Zaromskis can do on the ground but we now Nick Diaz is a high level BJJ Blackbelt.

I agree. Zaromskis seems to have a good sprawl. His ground game might be weak and he is so explosive I would question his cardio. These are the two areas Diaz should test him.
Diaz is awkward with his long boxing. It's more effective than it looks BUT if he gets lazy with it, Zaromskis could be all over him like white on rice.

Yeah, Diaz isnt very good with doubles and singles so my plan would be use clinch takedowns like I mentioned. Diaz like you mention is awkward with his long boxing but the problem is his reach is so long hes actually in kicking range for Zaromskis. Now we all know Diaz has a granite chin but hell so did Hayato Sakurai. Point is that its so hard to just eat a headkick its the most powerful strike in the book and right now Zaromskis has surpassed Cro Cop as MMAs elite head kick artist. Diaz should use his boxing to set up his clinch, backing up Zaromskis so he cant plant his feet, then once inside then work your game. Diaz has a big height advantage which helps in the clinch and like I say he should hold a significant cardio advantage as well. Diaz doesnt use his JiuJitsu as much as id like him to but this is the fight to use it IMO. That said I sure as heck wont count him out on his feet he KOed Robbie Lawler and dominated Scott Smith and Takanori Gomi standing.

Cheers :good
Suprised to see him in PRIDE in that vid....
I own PRIDE 1-20 as well as a few of the big Grand Prix tourneys, I assume this guy must have been in the last few PRIDE`s.
That shit aside, he looks extremely powerful in striking, especially the kicks, a bit wild tho, Diaz might be best off getting this to the ground ASAP & let his very good-excellent BJJ do the trick for him.

Zaromskis is a quality kicker. Diaz has a good chin but like you say I strongly advise against eating Zaromskis kicks cos they are dynamic and devastating.
He's got to difuse that devastating tenacity. I love Zaromskis approach. Beating Diaz throws him right to the top of the pile and he sure as hell will know that.

Agreed it will but IMO Nick Diaz is in his prime right now. Every since he had that run in the UFC of losing 3 straight close decisions to Sanchez,Riggs,Sherk in 05-06 he has been on a tear winning 10 out of 11 fights. However with all those wins hes missing something and thats a Championship and I think hes going to come ready to claim his first real World Championship (WEC wasnt very big when he was Champion)
