Now then chaps, at last we have a 50 50 fight for british honours, two great fighters, but only one winner Gomez.
I have in the past been accused of being biased towards Gomez, and yes it is true i am, however to those that disregarded my posts on here not long ago, all i will say is i told you so, regarding Gomez getting back to the top.
Believe you me gentlemen, i have known Gomez for over twenty years, (Makes me feel old saying that)!!!
But when i told people that Mike would be back and challenging for major honours once again, i was laughed at, now when i tell you that Mike is going to upset the Frank ****** applecart again, then please believe me because he is about to do so.
I have been involved in this sport for tewnty five years, and there is nothing that i havent seen before, and when i see a man making plans for his next defence, before he has defended his title succesfully before the next one, that is dangerous, idiotic and senseless.
S when i tell you that Gomez will finish off this fight within five rounds, believe you me that is what is going to happen.
please feel free to post your replies, give your opinions, for, against, but to those who are not believers in Gomez, watch this space.
you heard it here first guys (AGAIN)

For someone who claims to have had such a colourful history crammed into 7 posts, you must be a bit of a character!
I said what I had to say in Norths thread. Im not dissing you, its just that I cant be bothered to write my reasons for Gomez getting beat all over again!
Your boys going down, hes yesterdays man. You have been warned.

Is Johanneson promoted by Maloney?
There are so many 'Franks' in boxing it can get confusing - theres ******, Maloney, Bruno ........ :smile

i think he's refering to the plan for mitchell to fight johanneson. i don't think its been confirmed if he will fight gomez if he wins.

The winner of Mike and Carl will next defend the title against Kevin Mitchell on a Frank ****** show - that was the deal to get this fight passed by the BBBoC as purse bids were already out for Carl v Kevin.

I agree with you Steve that Gomez has every chance against the current Johanneson as he again seems to be having problems and distractions in his life and last I heard training was again not going well. Personally don't think Michael would have handled the Johanneson that beat Burns in any way shape or form, but hey its all opinions.
Realise as you have a vested interest its difficult but I may as well ask has Michael really looked that impressive to you in the couple of fights in his comeback or is it a case of you know where Johanneson is at and its just good judgement on your part that this is the right time.
The thing that does wind me up however is ****** and this December 8th date supposedly for the winner, we all know that aint happening after these two have had a 4 round war.
As it's all about opinions and I have no vested interest anywhere I can add that Mitchell beats both of the protagonists above mentioned and I will go further he also beats Kirakosyan, ****** needs to get a move on with him he has a chance to hold the European title for a good few years if they get in there now, Kirakosyan is not the monster Johanneson made him out to be, watch his fights he is so beatable but has excellent power for a super-feather and that keeps him in some contests he was being totally outboxed in.

I'll just add todays article in the Scotsman. Seems Arthur will be looking to make up for that defeat to Gomez. It also gives Gomez a hell of a inspiration boost for beating Johanneson. But this would sell out many times over should it happen in Edinburgh again (plus I see nothing other than a comfortable Arthur win this time).

Micky,
I must admit that Michael was not 100% in his 2 comeback fights and under ideal circumstances we would have liked another 2 more fights. However sometimes opportunities come and you have to take them , this was one as he may never have got another chance for at least another 12 months.
What he did show in them 2 fights was that he still has desire and that he is punching as hard as ever. He has dedicated his life to his training and the sparring is going well with the head movement that was missing in the 2 warm ups coming back. A visit to our local university today confirmed that he is in top physical shape.
This is a proper fight with 2 punchers and he may get chinned in a round or he may chin Carl in a round or even win on points ,no one knows and that is what makes it so interesting.
Either way it is an opportunity for Gomez that we all agreed he should take and believe he will.
