He is 2-0 with 2 first round subs.
28 years old, 6'4", 205 pounds (walks around at 210).
Some of the scalps he gathered during his BJJ competition days were Jacare! Werdum! Aoki!
"His most notable achievement to date is winning the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship in 2005, taking first place in the 88–98 kg and Open-weight categories by submitting all eight opponents—a feat that had not previously been achieved. He has also won the BJJ World Jiu-Jitsu Championship (the Mundials) a record 8 times including 6 times in his own weight class and twice at open weight.
Roger Gracie is the founder and main instructor at The Roger Gracie Academy located in West London, England."

Awsome. I always thought Roger was heavier than that.

On the talent side of things I think it's an excellent signing. Maybe Roger is thinking of competing in MMA full time now as he has only 'dipped his toes in' so far. His BJJ credentials are legit so the potential is there for Strikeforce to create a star.....And he has the Gracie name which won't hurt.

"Roger was supposed to fight American wrestler Travis Wiuff at Sengoku 5 on September 28, 2008, but pulled out of the fight citing an injury on Spetember 17, 2008. The promoters claim that his doctor later admitted that Roger did not break nor fracture any bones and that he hasn't even taken any examinations, so they decided to punish Roger by not using him in their events ever since."

I dont mind UFC leftovers depending on who they are. The only real celebrity gimmick to me is Hershel Walker. Some say Bobby Lashley but they guy has a strong amateur wrestling background, is 4-0 before Strikeforce and trains at IMO the best camp in ATT.

I agree but looking at it through the eyes of the mainstream fan it looks like UFC leftovers, gimmicks and an upset heavyweight called Fedor.
I agree with you on Lashley. He's legit. If he loses, it's cos he lost not cos he only knows WWE.
Roger is something Strikeforce can produce and call him their own.

Good to see Strikeforce making regular additions to their roster. Will be interesting to see how he does. While we on the subject of Gracies, UFC signed Rolles not too long ago. He will be fighting Mostapha Al-Turk at 109.

Rolles should handle him pretty well, Al-Turk is basically a pure grappler who will have to fight a much better pure grappler.
