Let me be one of the first to congratulate Kelly on a hard fought win. Both fighters showed grit and determination but the better man won tonight. Now its time to go eat some humble pie.:-(

Taylor looked to have Pavlik licked. Pavlik was doing the chicken dance..
I can't believe how Taylor folded so suddenly :(

I think that right to the head would have folded anyone quickly.

Yeah, full credit to Pavlik.
The fight went as I expected for the most part, I felt Jermain was landing stiffer shots, looked the better boxer but ultimately, Round 2 cost him, he was punching too wide and after getting Pavlik down, he blew his energy stores.. the sign of inexperience.
I'm out for six months - so I'll have to allow Mr Amsterdam to carry the Calzaghe banner, even though I still maintain he got the analysis/pick of this fight wrong.
Laters guys.
I didn't get the analysis wrong, I laid out that Taylor could not handle pressure well and would be driven to the ropes like he did against Wright many times, which happened. I said that Taylor was not a much better fighter in terms of skill than Pavlik and was terribly flawed with a bad defence, that was evident.
Pavlik won the 1st, was winning the second before the knockdown, then fought extra cautiously for the next several close rounds after it because of the KD and an apparant broken nose.
When he regained control, he walked him down like I said he would. I didn't get it completely on target, but I was correct in my analysis.
The poster who was 100% on target was 'Brooklyn1550', many props to Brooklyn for his great analysis and prediction.:good

I said Taylor would win. I give credit to Kelly Pavlik, he's a helluva fighter. He was the one that kept doing what was working eventhough he was getting hit hard back.

Jack Presscot, where are you, you ignorant slut?
Looks like you know "Jack" about boxing.
Here's some advice: think hard before you post next time. :patsch

I said Taylor would win by UD. Props to Kelly and those who picked him to win. I don't think anyone at 160 can touch him. IMO there's no need for a rematch because Kelly would win again.

:good good to have fans like you lillarry. i know the feeling of eating crow. you should've been here before pavlik-miranda, being a miranda fan i was talkin heaps of shit about miranda KO'ing pavlik. thank god i picked pavlik to win this time:lol:. taylor made a good account of it though, and was definitely out to prove something. he was winning slightly prior to the KD, and he should'nt be written off just yet.

I was rooting for Pavlik but I thought he would lose to JT.
