For giving credit to the Pavlik win and not making any excuses.

Absolutely! :good

No excuses... just the plain truth. I give him props for that.

Taylor's conditioning seems to haunt him fight after fight.. I'm sure he earned back a lot of respect though for being able to put Pavlik on the canvas.

I thought it was going to be a lot more one-sided and Pavlik was going to destroy him.

Taylor hurt him and made it competitive.

Taylor is a great boxer and person I don't get why some people don't like him. I was really impresed with Pavlik's power and heart

Taylor showed much more heart and skill then he did in his last 2 fights. He showed more class afterwords too.

Was very disrespectful of Kelly and his skill before the fight though. Makes it much harder to explain getting KTFO by such an "ordinary" fighter. Hopefully he'll learn to respect his opponents more.

Looking forward to the rematch :bbb

Taylor More Then Hurt Him..he Had His Ass Out On His Feet Running Wobbling To His Corner...for The Whole Last 40 Seconds..if Jt Had A Brain In That Head He Would Of Went For Fucking Broke He Is An Idiot. That Is My Only Nudge Against Him.

I think the main reason people weren't respecting him was after the Spinks fight when he was an arrogance ass in his post fight interview. Hopefully this will bring back his fire.

taylor showed alot of heart. his performance definetly silenced his detractors, but pavlik is on a completely different level. nobody can match kelly's toughness and power.

Arthur Abrams perhaps?

Taylor really impressed me in that fight, and he reacted like a man at the end, my favourite fight of the year thus far. Pavlik was a fuckin legend tonight.

I agree that he if he had a brain, he would've finished. However, he doesn't have to go for broke. He's missing uppercuts and body shots. He needed to work the body before working upstairs when Pavlik was hurt.

much respect for taylor. i predicted pavlik to win, but taylor had me shitting my pants in the 2nd! taylor got caught with a very good punch, aside from that he was making a good fight out of it, and was winning up to the point of the stoppage. taylor's got fast hands and stinging punches we should'nt write him off right away. it's kinda sad a nice guy and a gentleman got KO'ed. anyway congratulations to the new MW champ kelly pavlik. i'm a miranda fan, and i was writing the guy off back when they fought, but his last 2 fight have shown me that he is the real deal.

Is Taylor a real black man, for showing class and giving credit and respect to Pavlik after the fight? Do you think better of him for that? Or would you rather he cry and throw all of his toys out of the cot like a Zab Judah?

Yeah, that was his first mistake. He was head hunting to much. Sometimes champs got to loose to reach their full potential. Rematch :deal :bbb

all credit to kelly tonight, he is the man at 160, no doubt. but if he does decide in the near future to move up to 168, there is a danish guy, and a welsh guy that would both beat the absolute fuck out of him. :deal

but taking nothing away from him tonight, he showed real balls and got the job down in fine style.

Taylor is a total class act. He will come back stronger. Pavlik was sensational.
I disagree. I still think he's only a tad better than he was as an amateur. Great fighters learn and improve after each fight. Taylor has only marginally improved.
This fight will have taught Pavlik a lot more respect for defense.

Whereas Pavlik punches straight and moves forward with punching weight...Taylor's wild swings are mostly while leaning back instead of driving forward.

A great, exciting fight nonetheless. It's been a long time since 7 rounds went by in what seemed like a couple of minutes! Only 2 other fighters do that for me as well......Cotto & Hatton.
