Hart was a smallish middle, where as McClellan was a boiled down CW.

I suppose you could make a argument for Gerald hitting harder in pure power terms, but P4P there's absolutely no comparison.

One of if not the hardest hitting middleweights of all time. Hagler attests to that, placing him above P4P punching phenomenon Tommy Hearns and one of the hardest 154 bangers of all time in Mugabi.

His greatest weakness was that he had a tendency to wilt under pressure, which most of his best opponents were great at... Such as Hagler , Antuofermo and Briscoe. It was a combination of him losing his will to fight along with stamina issues. He quit on his stool in-between rounds against Hagler

From almost all accounts he deserved the nod against Briscoe in their first fight, the draw.

His power was frightening, regardless. He physically lifted Antuofermo off the ground with his punches, and this was a shot, old Hart in his second to last fight.

He also made Hagler turtle up for the majority of a round trying to, seemingly, regain his senses.
